Check the RESISTANCE reading between the two legs (+ and - legs) of any one of the three main filter caps (3 large caps laying on its side), report the reading.

That wouldn’t cause blown fuses would it?

I’ve seen the light bulb setup on here before. Never bothere with it because I don’t bother with fixing TVs anymore.
People around here list 32” cracked led/lcds for $20 or more claiming it’s a cheap fix.

I will pick up the occasional plasma, since they are discontinued. In the last year, I’ve picked up 3 plasmas counting this one.
2 Panasonic’s with the usual sc board issue, which I’ve finally gotten enough guts to fix myself.

This is the only non panny I picked up only because the Samsung 8500 series is supposed to be nice.

Now the reading on the filter caps has changed. ~11M ohms.

Yes, none of them are shorted unless there are some under the cage by the power inlet. I can’t really see what’s in there.

It’s almost 2am for you Pete. Don’t you sleep?

I am looking for shorted load which will be connected in parallel with the filter caps.
So now you need to test the resistance between the two inner legs of the Bridge rectifier.
I need to get good clear high res straight shot pictures of the whole top and bottom side of that power supply board, right now I cannot read the P/N of that power supply board.

                                  Really do not do this.
The fuse has a case to absorb the arc and prevent a fire.
Use a real fuse and don't burn down the house if it blows unnoticed.

That kit only applies if QS802C and QS804C are shorted.

Possibly something under that metal cage at the AC inlet is shorted. Maybe a varistor?

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
                                            by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
                                            The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...
