LG 65UB9200 no image or sound

You can hear the initial click from the power supply when you hit the power button but there is no image no backlight and no sound.
Less than 1v per led pin at the connector for the backlight.

When the unit is on voltage at the main board connector is good. There is a small red led on the power supply board towards the backlight connector. It flashes 5 times and then pauses for about 7 seconds before flashing again.

    Is the P/S bad?

The connector on the power supply board that goes to the main board has pin name for each pin, we need top know what the Voltage are when the TV off and when the power switch is activated, you must put down the pin name and follow by the Voltage reading when TV is OFF and when power switch is activated so we can easily see what are missing.

Looks like the DRV_ON voltage from the mainboard is missing.
If you disconnect the mainboard from the power supply do the backlights come on?

With the mainboard disconnected can you jumper the 3.5V to PWR_ON using a 1K resistor and a second 1K resistor between 3.5V and DRV_ON. The Backlights should come on.

Yes back light does come on. I do not see any dim spot or anything. Looks great.

This mean I am looking at a bad main board correct?

Or would it be possible to repair the main board? What causes this particular issue?

Lead free solder and corporate GREED cause this problem.

                    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                    Assuming...

No LCD image after connector replacement – lifted components and damaged resistor (Nintendo Switch Lite HDH-CPU-02)
                    by Tomylee
                    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the person who’s going to read all this !
I'm on a Nintendo Switch Lite, motherboard HDH-CPU-02.

While replacing the left joystick, I had to remove the motherboard to access the connector underneath. When I lifted the LCD connector latch, it broke (the plastic had become brittle over time), so I replaced the entire connector.

During the desoldering of the LCD connector using hot air, three small components located just below the connector (likely 0402 capacitors) came off and remained stuck to the bottom of the...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                    by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

                    by LEECH666
                    Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

No image on QLED Samsung TV QE55Q85RAT
                    by jbsers
                    Hello everyone

I have a QE55Q85RAT TV that no longer turns on - to be more precise, here are the diagnostic elements:

                    - when I turn it on, the red LED flashes once, we hear a slight "zz" twice on the motherboard, then the LED flashes twice and this cycle repeats indefinitely and no image

                    - taking inspiration from certain forums, I put tape on 4 tracks of the ribbon which goes from the motherboard to the panel and then, the TV still does not show any image but the sound works and the TV responds to the remote control (I turned on the voice guide)...
