Oh crap, does the W have to be in the model number as well??

Zooming in, all the components look the same except for the Samsung chip, which mine shows VTU61B1, and the one I ordered shows VTU61B2.

It may still work. Be positive.

I emailed them and asked if it was the correct part. They asked me for the number directly below the barcode. They got back to me saying it wasnt compatible, but then gave me a link to the correct part.

So it's ordered and I should have it by the end of the next week (hopefully).

        Fingers crossed!

Did you get this TV working? I'm curious to know, I have the same model with a broken screen, I took the screen off and the back lights still come on, It would make a nice big light.

First replacement I got from them had the same problem but to a lesser extent. This one would start by cycling through solid colors, then the glitchy and stuttering picture with distorted colors and images. After a few cycles of distortion it would work.

I asked if it was possible I just got a dud. They said it was possible and sent me another one. This one distorts slightly for 15-20 seconds only in the lower 1/3 of the screen, then works ok. There is a slight difference with the last letter on the model number being a different letter for both of them, but I dunno if that's the reason.

Makes me wonder what's up with these t-con boards. But my TV is working well for the most part so I'm just going to live with it as is.

Can you make a brief new video of the actual defect? Just to confirm a suspect..
If you have not done it before try to show also how it goes if you detach one at a time the left one and right one flat cable from tcon to panel.

There is a video in the first post. Do you want a video of the current board?

I have tried disconnecting the flat cables, IIRC the picture went snowy. I can try it again this week.

You said the current defect is better than the original so i need a new video, where also you detach the flat cab. I dont know what is IIRC, i'm Italian.

I'll see if I can make a video tonight.

                      Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                      by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.

Hi all. I was given this JBL Flip Essential speaker that 'fell from about 8 feet' and then the bluetooth would no longer function. It seems to power on normally and responds to button presses, but it will not showup on bluetooth for any device I try to connect to it.

The bluetooth daughter board has a 26mhz oscillator that I could not get to read the proper frequency so I tried replacing that to no avail. Thought maybe something was wrong with the bluetooth IC it's connected to, so I tried replacing that as well. None...
