I can see the difference between Tvtimmy's board and your board but his board looks fine by me. The traces are still ok there is only some solder marks which just needs a little clean up. ( He could have cleaned up the board but personally i wouldnt care to much ). You said yourself you are a novice in repairing tv's or electronics in general and you took your time removing the tuner which looks fine but what you are looking at is FLUX!

Yes FLUX looks bad when it is not cleaned up but when you use some isopropanol and just clean the board you will see it is not that bad. Dont worry , the board will work just fine.
If you start this repairing hobby you will see boards where you think....ok how am i goig to fix this.

After I got my tv I did a lot of research on this site before I ever posted, see post 34. I read about Moreno83 and Tom66 and figured you guys would be a big help...HA!

How about the incorrect info from R J in post#31 which I corrected in #32?
Mr. Moreno83 FINALLY joins the party in post #62.
Tvtimmy pm'd me and said he had a working board and wanted to know what it was worth to me. HE ASKED ME!!!
I asked tvtimmy for some pics, see below. After my comments on his work, I get double teamed by Moreno83 and tvtimmy.
Tvtimmy tells me to GTFO. All Moreno83 can say is FLUX FLUX FLUX.

I've already asked administrators to delete this thread...they won't. Who knows...maybe they will now.
