    42u2p y & x problem

    Hi guys,

I'm seeking your help, i have a samsung plasma 42" with clicking sound when power on. power off after 5 sec, no picture no sound.

I checked the board, and found that 3 "RJP30E2" and 1 "SF10A400H" where shortned on the 42u2p_Y-Main Board.

On 42u2p_XM there was no issue.

I managed to change those component, plugged in, clicks sound again, and now i have 2 "RJH30E2" burned on the XM board . lol

    42u2p Y board

    42u2p X Board

Is there a workarround on how to fix those boards; cuz something keep burning them.

I just ordered RJH30E2 because i don't have them in stock.

    Thank you

Did you replace all the securing screws back in tightly before you powered up?
When you replaced the components did you check there was no short circuit between VS and chassis and VA and chassis?

Sorry for the late reply, i was busy a little and thank you for your reply.

Unfortunatly no, i didn't check before.

But now on the Y Main unplugged, i don't have short on VA Gnd and VS Gns.

There's short on VS Gnd on X main because i still have the burned RJH30E2 on this board.

I'm waiting to get the RJH30E2, what must i check exactly when changing them?

What's "securing screws back in tightly"??? where are they?

        Thank you

They are well placed, and they are connected to GND. what's the matter there?

You need to check all of the mosfets, diodes on that board because if you miss a faulty one it will damage the components you replace.
Also check the resistors connected to the mosfets.

How did you do your testing of the Z-SUS Bd without removing the screws??

What do you mean without removing the screws?????? the board was disasembled from tv case "if this is what you asking", there was a short on RJH30E2, desolder and test them they are faulty.

Finally i got the parts today lol that took too much time to come

Anyway, after changinf the parts RJH30E2 they got burned immeditaly after trying to turn the tv on.

I have change then again, and start connecting cable one by one and trying to turn on the tv to see what happen.

In results, im connecting all the boards and cable expect the 42u2p_xb board, the tv turn on normally with black screen, when i connect the 42u2p_xb board the same component burn again.

I connected the board without the ribbon cable connected, no issue, seems a problem with light panel, is there a way to disassembly the screen fron the light panel to check out?

Update : all connected now, no issue with component, tv turn on but still black screen, on 42u2p X Board i have 2 pins with 208v instead of 5v

Good Day I am new to this forum, I am also really in need to find out the transistor and diode numbers of this board to replace them. mine are all tarnished and cant figure out the numbers. If it is possible I would surely appreciate any help. I am interested in the numbers of the semiconductors that are on the heat sink. for example the RJP..... and the rest of these components.

                                  Thank You
