    SAMSUNG UE55D6507 - vertical bars / lines

Another freebie I got SAMSUNG UE55D6507 chassis U69A, but this one also looks like it will have to go the scrapyard, unless some of you clever people can give me a hint with some magic

(I dont have the remote control for this one)

Symptom : Vertical lines/bars at bootup, see attached picture
All voltages from power supply OK
    Backlight OK

    My guess : Bad mainboard....

I will be happy to be corrected

Service manual + chassis pictures + screen picture attached

Clean and re-seat all cables and connectors at both ends of each to and from the T-CON Bd. Yes it could be a Main Bd. issue or it could be a T-CON Bd issue, also. Not ruling out the Panel, as a last option mind you. Do you have an Oscilloscope??

Yes, I have an oscilloscope, I have all kind of instruments, and knowledge how to use them. So any directions saying I should check something - I am fully able.

Do as I suggested in Post #2. Then we could test the LVDS to see if we have signals from the Main Bd.

            Did you inspect the connectors?
This may or may not be applied to your model but it is worth inspecting.

                Hello

I had the same problem on a samsung UE48C6700.

I solved it by pressing one of the motherboard chipset with an inner tube wedged between the chipset and the TV cover.

Try on all the bga on the motherboard, mine works very well for 2 years now .

                In my house it worked.

                  Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA vertical bars/horizontal lines
                  by x_orange90_x
I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

                  Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                  by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Thin stable coloured vertical lines on Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC come and go
                  by polaro
                  Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...

Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 - Pink vertical lines due to chipped LCD panel?
                  by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...
