Vizio VF550M 55" LCD - PS cap values please anyone?

    Hi folks.

Does anyone know what caps are used in the power supply for these? Per search indication there is no known schematic for these.

Since this is my only TV I am hoping to do my repairs in one shot without missing any of my favorite shows so I would like to have parts on hand rather than pull unit, check then wait for parts order.

These are probably common values even suggestions of what to stock up on would be better than nothing.

Also anyone have insight maybe into something I read on a similar unit that stated "replace all caps except the big one." I take it this would be noted just because it's only really small caps that fail/leak/bulge?

    Thanks!!!

I use PANASONIC FM/FC/FR for all my repair, just look at the value and the dimension of the caps, since PS can be more than one revision so you have to get to the board to see exactly what you have.
There is more than one revision of the TV also:

Thanks. Thing is where I am I will have to order/have shipped so there would be a gap between removing and servicing where I would be in TV withdrawal. That's why I'd like get the caps first. Even if I have to buy extras values based on uncertainty that would be fine. So if anyone knows these that would be great.

      thx!

That will be tough because you do not know which power supply is being used in that TV.
        Typical values are:
        Cold side
        1000uF 10V
        1200uF 10V
        2200uF 10V
        470uF 10V
        680uF 10V

        470uF 25V
        680uF 25V
        1000uF 25V
        1200uF 25V

        470uF 35V
        680uF 35V
        1000uF 35V
        1200uF 35V

        Hot side:
        22uF 50V
        33uF 50v
        47uF 50v
        56uF 50V

I will change out the large cap (the big one), only because of the age of your TV.

Recapping Sony ICF-SW55 - verifying cap values
            by proxneo
            Dear reader

I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.

At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:

            3 x 470uF 10VDC
            3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
            4 x 47uF 50VDC
            8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
            1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
            5 x 100uF 6.3VDC

            Which...

Different (lower) resistor values on PCB?
            by Kobok
            Dear Alls,
For sure it id a stupid question, but help me to understand. I am in a Dell 2007WFP revitalizing project - searching reason why not starting. Some resistors needed to replaced is is obvious. When I have soldered some resistors the measured (with multimeter) values were sometimes rather different written on them. I supposed these are wrong units so I desoldered and made a checking measurement and voilá the values is the same is written on. This happens only in case of a few resistors, most have the same values (+/- 10%) are written on it. "strange" SMD resistors =>103...

Vizio E70-E3 Two white vertical lines
            by brad2157
I picked up a Vizio E70-E3 for free that shows Vizio logo and then goes to a black screen. Original owner said he started having wifi issues and then he tried to reset the TV and that's when it wouldn't boot up any longer after his reset attempt. I picked up a replacement main board from eBay that matches the same model # board as the original from the TV.

Original main board - Shows Vizio logo when TV powers on, then goes to black screen. Doesn't boot up. No screen issues with any lines on start up Vizio logo.

Replacement main board - Boots up fine, but starting...

            Vizio d650i-c3 freezing
            by EazyBone
This Vizio doesn't freeze at startup. Not that problem

This Vizio will go into an app like YouTube and work and a very bad picture rate and freeze on videos pretty quickly. But will freeze up in all the apps. Plug a Roku stick into it and it works flawless without video buffers etc. Is there a solution to this freezing issue with Vizio's? It's at latest firmware. I figured they just suck, but factory reset and firmware didn't fix.
