    Black horizontal bar at top of lcd panel

    Hi I have a Samsung un75h6300, the lcd panel has a black bar at the top of the screen about 1/4 to 1/3 of the screen, I recently took the tv apart to replace bad LEDs, after reassembling I got this issue, I'm confident that I didn't damage any tabs on the lcd panel. When I disconnect the t-con from the power board the screen goes black and the line goes away. Is there any chance that I may have damaged the t-con board with a static discharge?

      :-(... its more than likely you caused an issue with the tabs in the top section of the panel on that side. You might want to remove that bezel again and check things out... crossed fingers.... maybe try a bit of pressure on the appropriate tab to see if it changes anything. good luck.

              X2. You may be able to press on the tabs on the bottom outer corners to see if it fixes the issue.
              Did I leave the soldering iron on?

                  Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

                  When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

                  Good day, I have a TCL TV: Model 43s423. After turning ON the TV, the ROKU TV logo appears with fine lines over the whole screen, then after a while there are vertical bands in the middle of the screen top to bottom and the TV tries to update its firmware but I do not have the remote to connect it to my new network connection.                   I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

                  TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board

                  All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                  • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                  • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

                  Hi,

                  i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
                  Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
                  If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
                  Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
                  With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

                  Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
                  Or is it always a bad/shorted...
