Samsung UN46FH6030F Vertical Lines Across Screen During Movement

My neighbor asked me to look at this problem. I thought it might be a BGA problem, but I get no change when pressing on the circuits with that attachment on the main board, and on the T-Con.
The problem doesn't seem to appear on images without movement, such as a DVD or setup menu. The lines appear on both antenna and HDMI inputs.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can look at next?

    Thanks

Try re-seating the t-con connector, with tv unplugged first

Thanks for the suggestion, but there was no change after I removed the ribbon cables, wiped them with an alcohol swab, and reconnected.

I also pulled the heat sink off the T-CON, to see if pressing on the BGA mounted chip under there would cause any change, but it didn't.

There is old thread from Oct 2014 showing the similar problem, the fix was new T-CON per OP. I downloaded this picture from the thread years ago.

            Thank you for the replies.
It looks like SJ is out of stock, so I ordered one through eBay.

I tried a couple searches here, but didn't see anything that was very similar to the symptom I have. Nice find budm.

I'll reply in a few days when it comes in.

            Thanks again,
            Paul

The T-Con board was the problem.
The recycler will need to wait until they get this one

Thank you very much for all your advice.

                  Hello,

                  i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

                  Thank you for your help

Thanks for offering your assistance with this. I'm an electronics enthusiast with moderate level of competence (have a decent lab with two power supplies, microscope, DSO, hot air, good iron, can competently work at a component level on SMDs, design and solder own PCBs etc). I really enjoying fixing things and learning new stuff so took up a free 58" LED TV and have been googling and watching Youtube videos to see if I can fix this! I am happy to go down to individual component replacement/strip replacement etc - it's all in the name of learning.

The issues are as follows: the...

vizio e65 e3 LED tv color vertical lines center tv only
                  by viking509
I recently replaced the led backlights with LB65041 LED Backlight Strips and after putting it back together the backlights work but there are only colored vertical lines only in the center of the tv. I can see the Netflix logo (jumbled) after a minute or less the screen went dark. When I turned it on again the lines were back. Then I replaced the t-con board but the same vertical lines in the picture. My question is what is my next step? Could it be a source tab bond issue? A buffer board issue? Could I have loosened a connection to the panel when replacing the backlights? Should I replace the...

Vertical Lines on Half of LCD Display
                  by rfxcasey
I have an Siemens HMI with vertical lines on half of the screen. These lines aren't scrambled garbage but rather very regular in pattern and color. I have replaced the LCD with a new one and still the problem persists. I'm wondering if this isn't indicative of a bad video process chip or video memory? Any help would be appreciated. The cable appears to be OK but one pin on the header is unpopulated, though there isn't any loose wire to suggest one broke off or popped out of the connector. In the picture below where the connector is busted out of the side, I did that with my small screw driver...

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
                  by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...
