Vizio D50u-D1 4K tv - slow back light flicker.

Working on a Vizio d50u 4K tv. Powers up fine but the backlight would flicker slowly. Screen appears to be just fine and the fraction the light is working it can be seen. I Was fortunate to have a donor cracked screen tv and I replaced all boards but the flicker is still happening. Down to the backlight LED's.

After Replacing all boards (but the tcon) I left the tcon disconnected and the problem still continues. Even with the tcon disconnected and the problem being the same do I need to replace it (tcon)?

Here is the youtube video showing the flicker

    https://youtu.be/OYybvInad7w

Next step is to pull the leds out of the donor tv and install them....

Has anyone seen this before and was it the led's Or cables to them the cause? I suspect a short? Interestingly if I disconnect either side led cable one at a time the flicker continues for that side.

Help me bad cap Kanobi. Your my only hope.... if the led swap doesn't work.

After more research It appears that I have multiple LED strip issues. After Replacing them I will report back. TCON shouldn't have anything to do with it. I was curious if it had any feedback mechanism that could contribute to the issue.

Did you figure out if the problem was limited to the LED strips? I seem to have the same issue.

Did the replacement of the LED strips solve the issues of flickering?

(SOLVED) Vizio D50u-D1 4K tv - slow back light flicker.

I have the same tv with the same problem. Flickering from side to side. Problem is a bad led driver. After researching, it seems that the bad leds corrupted the driver. After replacing all leds with new strips Flickering started. I'm not good at repairing boards so I just bought a new driver. Problem solved

Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
            by x_orange90_x
I have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...

Samsung flicker - BN44-00932T board or else?
            by fixit007
I picked up this TV that the prior owner said - just died.

Tested the fuse - burnt. A dead capacitor is visible too on the hot side (CP801). Got the replacement power board (cheaply - used). Replaced the board - the TV turned ON!

Now, about a month later (yesterday) I noticed the left side of the screen was flickering from time to time. That was already happening with the antenna input, not through HDMI.

Also, some glitchiness with a Fire stick on HDMI3 - I hit an app with quick dark screen in stick, the TV goes - no input. Then I had to choose the stick...

Lithonia Lighting versus Light of America Compact Fluorescent product quality
            by sam_sam_sam
I have a Lithonia Lighting 65-Watt Gray Hardwired Compact Fluorescent

I also have back when Light of America had these light bulbs available for yard lights

The issue with Light of America was the blast boards had all most certain board failure while bulbs hardly ever fail

While the Lithonia lighting fixture has all most certain bulb failure

So I have modified the Lithonia lighting fixture to accept the Light of America light bulb and see how long this will last

I have only had this light fixture for not more than a year if it...
