Re: Vizio D50u-D1 4K tv - slow back light flicker.
After more research It appears that I have multiple LED strip issues. After Replacing them I will report back. TCON shouldn't have anything to do with it. I was curious if it had any feedback mechanism that could contribute to the issue.

Vizio D50u-D1 4K tv - slow back light flicker.
Working on a Vizio d50u 4K tv. Powers up fine but the backlight would flicker slowly. Screen appears to be just fine and the fraction the light is working it can be seen. I Was fortunate to have a donor cracked screen tv and I replaced all boards but the flicker is still happening. Down to the backlight LED's.
After Replacing all boards (but the tcon) I left the tcon disconnected and the problem still continues. Even with the tcon disconnected and the problem being the same do I need to replace it (tcon)?
Here is the youtube video showing the flicker

Re: Sharp AQUOS LC90LE6570 Lightning Damage
Here is some readings. Just probing around. Trying to see where standby current is coming from. Also is 165V DC a correct voltage for this board?...

Yes main fuse is good. As far as any other fuses (surface mount?) is there any more I should be looking for?...

Re: Sharp AQUOS LC90LE6570 Lightning Damage
The first Cap it hits (Blue Ceramic?) is registering ac 120v. The two largest caps on the same Primary Power side of the board are measuring 165v DC....

Sharp AQUOS LC90LE6570 Lightning Damage
I have 3 tv's on of which is a Sharp LC90LE6570. I am trying to troubleshoot what parts I need to repair or just replace. I assume the power supply board and or the logic board are going to be the ones with damage.
First I do not get indication of power and no standby light power or anything... zilch with the tv plugged in. I tried to volt meter power pins on the logic board and I do not see any voltages. So over to the power supply. Fuse is good and getting rectified DC voltages over to the relay section of the Primary power side. I do not get any power readings on the pin headers...

Re: Samsung Plasma - Alternative X-Main Replacement option?
I also been reading up and experts here saying that boards and versions need to be exact. So in that case my awnser may be a NO they are not compatible.
The hope.... that these are Dumb boards (my way of saying they provide a simple function) the connector pins from logic are the same and the power pins going into it are the same. I just do not know how much logic goes into these boards. The only key differences I see on my blown xmain board I have (for the 720p model) and the numerous boards available for...Last edited by crees; 03-22-2016, 01:55 PM.

Samsung Plasma - Alternative X-Main Replacement option?
I have a samsung lj92-01688a board that is physically blown (appears to be a blown surface mount diode) and VS and Ground are shorted. I was debating attempting to replace all caps and components on the Heatsink as another thread on the inter webs did to fix their issue.
However the the explanation to the question
This board is very hard to find but there are other x-main boards that almost exact (similar models). The PCB looks exact other than it has On more Poly Film Capacitor and has one more additional common connector to the plasma. the boards difference is...
