I bought this broken tv ( Phillips 55PFL6007T/12 ). With a fault of not turning on, and at the time I got it, it would not react to anything (no lights nothing).
So, I opened it up and focused with the power strip for the power supply to SSB, there was no contact at fin of the pins, so I just soldered the cable straight to the board. Power supply's voltages were all good.
After that I got it to start, only to notice that there was no picture, back light worked property (when I changed channels it dimmed for a split second).
And it would not stay on for more than a 5-10 and then it started to give an error code (I don't remember it any more as it was in august), using the service manual, it suggested that the mainboard (SSB) was faulty.
So, few weeks ago, I got a used one from eBay. And today I installed it, only to notice that it still has the same problem, that the is no picture. Though the tv stays now on for more than 10 minutes, and I can't get any error codes.
I also have thought to get a cheap UART to usb adapter, so I could get more info from the SSB, but I don't know is it any use for me.
So, do you have any ideas, when I ordered the new SSB I thought that there were no t-con board, but today I was corrected. Could it be it? Or is it a lost cause.
