    Re: EEPROM Programmer

Well I'm guessing and think I'm close but I get a read verification error as seen in the pic and happens on both boards so I think I must have something wrong.

    Re: EEPROM Programmer

Ok I think I have the software installed from link above and drivers and software does see the device so good to go. My first project to try. I ordered a main board for a VIZIO from eBay and it arrived yesterday however it has the audio port torn off and another part missing most likely from being a little rough removing it from the donor TV. I believe the original board has the chip messed up as it's stuck on logo screen. What I would like to do is take the image off the one that came in the mail and see if I can't put it on the original. I do not want to remove the chips and I think the Jtag clip I ordered extra should do it??? could anybody walk me through this? I do not see the correct orientation of how to put the clip on the chip either.

Do a search for RT809F drivers and software, either on here as it's popular with those that program laptops or a wider internet search, there seem to be plenty of links and resources.
1.18 is for the CH341A programmer.

There is a guy in China i think that sells the latest software for $10 or there are links to older versions on this forum. I use an older free version 1.18

It's much better IMO to remove from the board. They are then soldered to the other PCB with headers that then goes into the programmer. The chip is then removed with hot air and put back on the board.

Years ago I messed with re-programming satellite cards so not exactly new with programming either. If we can get some pro's to chime in maybe this can be a sticky instructional thread?? I would also be willing to pay for private help if necessary. I also hope to lean how to reprogram a bios in a laptop as some I get are locked. I work for Midwest Electronics Recycling and am in charge of repairing what can be repaired and re-sold.
No need to sticky. Find bin, remove chip from board. Place chip on the reader. Read and save the original bin. Erase the chip, program with the bin and verify. This step is repeated by some and the bin compared but I don't. Resolder the chip, done.

    Re: EEPROM Programmer

getting the bin files is the hard part as they need to match the mainboard and lcd panel used in the tv there is a recently new thread here with some bin files and links https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=59877
regarding your programmer i see theirs a few youtube videos that may help you get started

Recommended chip programmer for eeprom etc.
    by Donny2derby
I keep seeing people in the Tv forum asking for eeprom programming and a lot of them seem to use a CH341a.

Is there a reason why this seems to be so popular? Or are there better and preferable alternatives?

Are there ones which a novice would be better off using?

    Any suggestions welcome.

The right BIOS Programmer - The right software (HP Elitebook 820 G1, 840 G2) no soldering, EC, DMI, ME
    by STKR123
    Greetings badcaps community,

I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.

Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.

    I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.

These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.

    I learned that desoldering...

    93C46 and 93C56 EEPROM
    by SidneyCanadas
I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

    https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...c6e42b20d3.pdf 2

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...

Pioneer DEX-P99rs "No EEProm " diagnostic code.
    by dmccul2698
Hello, My head unit developed strange behaviors so I ran the built-in diagnostic package which returned "No EEProm". The service manual says there is no EEProm connected. I approached Pioneer and they said to swap out the DSP board. All said and good but the DSP board is $860 USD. I am hoping someone can help me

1). Understand the schematic and check the connections between the EEProm and DSP
2). Check the functionality of the EEProm

I don't know if this is the unit's problem but it's a place to start.

I have little to no electronic experience...
