    Lg 42ls570t

    Hi all

I have the above TV which displays no picture and produces no sound. From a cold boot the set displays the LG Life's Good logo for a second on what appears to be a good screen with even backlight spread. This then disappears after approx 1 second followed by the screen illuminating again at approx half the brightness of that previously (no logo) for a further second, then completely dark screen. The power led is illuminated in unison with the initial screen activity, then stays extinguished. Changing channel flashes the power led in response, then is extinguishes again. When n standvy the power led is permanently on. No sound with an aerial plugged in at all, nor any faint image on the screen detected.

On the power board there is an led labelled LD701. This flashes 4 times over approx 2 seconds, followed by a gap of 6 seconds and then repeats. No caps appear to be bad, but that's only from a visual perspective. Where a small ribbon leaves the power board and goes to the screen itself there are 2 test points marked 'P210 LED+' and 'P211 GND'. I read 54Vdc between these pins

Anyone had any experience with this model or able to offer a pointer to allow me to attempt to fix. I have attached some photos to assist, which in order of attachment are the back of the whole tv, the power board, the main board, and what I assume to be the timing control board.

    Thanks in advance.

Leave the Black probe of the meter on the chassis GND, leave the Red probe on the LED+ pin then turn on the TV and see how high the Voltage jumps up to before settling down to 54V.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 Screen Connector
      by TheDando
Hey guys I've got a MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 with a broken screen connector on the motherboard.I was wondering how I would go about finding a exact replacement for it.I can't seem to find any schematics that would help me so I'm kinda stumped.I did buy a screen connector that I thought was close enough but it doesn't really invoke much confidence in me that it works perfectly as plugging the screen into sometimes does output a "glitchy" image for just a few seconds. So now I'm kinda in a cross road where I'm pretty sure it could be a faulty screen but I...

      Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Samsung UN65js8500F, no sound, blank screen and T-Con board with one LED on
      by mrtek
Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

      Assuming...
