    Vizio M260VA - No Sound

There is no sound in any input. You can see volume go up/down in correlation to pressing volume buttons but there is no sound at all

Speakers are 8 ohm and both measure that. The datasheet for the audio ic is:
    https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...739888a823.pdf

I’m just not entirely sure what to look for when probing and the pins are really small and close together so might be difficult to do

i can't help much, but it looks like pin 8 and 11 are your supply voltage pins.
you can probe them at the vias just above each respective pin. you may have to scrape some of the masking off.
WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

I measure 25v on those pins

So after a few probing around trying to get measurements the sound came back, went out, started crackling then would come back

Thought maybe my probing temporarily fixed a micro crack in the solder. So I started tapping on the ic and the sound would come and go.

Reflowed all the pins of the ic and it’s been running good for over an hour.

Hopefully this helps someone else if they have similar experience

          awesome. hope it lasts.

i would of suggested freezing the ic next to see how it behaved, but don't have to worry about that now.

Vizio D65x-G4 Volume changes on its own
            by karthur
On this Vizio D65x, the volume will change on its own. I don't mean like during commercials where the volume will increase. I mean its like the (+) volume button on the remote is pressed and the actual volume dialog is displayed on the screen going up. It will do this, then the volume may start going down. It might go all the way to "0"or it might stop at a different number, then start going back up. The whole time its doing this, the volume dialog is shown on the screen.

It wont do it until it has been "ON" for 20 or 30 minutes, so it does seem to be heat related....

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

            Assuming...

Vizio M65-E0 No Picture, No Sound
            by ggil44
Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB (Chassis SR) TV Repair Help - Distorted Subwoofer Sound and overall weird sound waveforms
            by LEECH666
            Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Loewe opta R125 distorted sound at high volume
            by jorpec
            Hi
I'm restoring this vintage radio, that had a very weak sound output, after replacing the electrolytic capacitors the sound volume improved but when the volume reach the middle of the knob starts to distort, its like the speaker overdrive and saturates, but only at lower frequencies even with the tone knob at minimum on bass frequencies. i have tried with other speakers but is the same.
Any idea what causes this ?
            Below the schematic

            Thanks...
