Samsung LN46A500T1F - slow power on - alternating static lines then ok

Looking for help on my mom's Samsung LN46A500T1F. This was previously fixed with a replacement Tcon board in 2014.

Lately it has been getting slower to turn on, it goes through like 3 attempts to turn on after I push the power button on remote. When it does turn on, it goes through a period with alternating lines of static, then finally goes to to ok picture and works fine from that point on until the next time it is off for a period of time.

Here's a video of the power on symptoms: (EDIT: changed link to working upload)

Disclaimer for the Fox News. It's my mom's tv and that's where it was set!

I'm thinking it is related to power supply warmup.
Any ideas on what the problem is?

It is for sure an electrolityc capacitors issue, now which one? Can be the ones on the power supply board, in any case change them all except the 450v one, with good brand low esr types, or can be some on the main board, open it up and with the tv cold start warming up the power supply with hairdryer, then switch on and see if it starts well, if not switch soon off and warmup the ones on main board and retry, if it works well on this second try then are the caps on the mainboard to change, if Powersupply and mainb. are near then cover the mainb. with a cloth and tin foil to keep it cold from the first warmup. To know which condenser to change on mainboard you better download the schematics and see the power section of the mainboard, the dc-dc converters that feed especially the main processors, like usually a 1,2v and 3,3v have capacitors on the input and the output, them as to be changed. If the faulty caps are on mainboard i suggest you to change also the ones on power supply 'cause Samsung use always low quality types and the tv is old enough to change them, them can destroy other parts if are not on the best shape. Bye.

We need to see the straight shot pictures of the power supply board.

          Hello,

I encountered an issue with my TV long before noticing a pattern of alternating red lines. Initially, I replaced the T-Con board, but the problem persisted. After a year, I decided to open the TV again and found some oil leaks around the CPU, RAMs, and LVDS FPC connector, likely from the thermal pads. I reconnected the LVDS connector but still faced the same issue with the alternating lines.

At first, I thought the LVDS cable might be loose. I inspected the cable, found no damage, cleaned the connector, and reconnected it, but the issue remained. This led me to...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
          by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
          • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
          • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Hey everyone, I have a Sony Xbox-65x900e with static lines. I’m assuming either the panel or t-con. Any suggestions before I start diagnosing? Service manual says T-con, panel, or B* Board (which I have no idea what that is)...

          Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
          by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

          Samsung QN50Q60t lines on screen
          by jeyoung12
          Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...
