    CCFL lamp

    Hey guys
i have a samsung 26 inch tv with backlight problem. need to change CCFL lamps. the problem is that it has U-Shape lamps and i only have straight ones. Can i just attack one to other?.. so that 2 straight one make 1 U-shape?.. it's a stupid question, but i've never done before

    Re: CCFL lamp

If your bulbs reach the ends of the screen, I would try it.

      Re: CCFL lamp

I have done this before with u shaped bulb replacement used 2 straight tubes it worked however it had a dark spots in tubes and did show little bit when watching tv. It did seem to improve after a period of warming up. Sent it out that way and still works and been 3 months or lil longer since that repair. it was all i could do for it. U bulbs can be custom made by ccfl warehouse but bit pricey and it was only a 32 inch tv so it was hardly worth it.

        Re: CCFL lamp

I have done this a few times in the past, it usually works and I have not had any complaints from clients.

Help on Samsung Syncmaster T220 dead ccfl lamp
            by mikey5791
            Hi,

This monitor previously is my main working monitor which i have been using for 8~9 years. Yesterday, when i switched on my pc from fresh to power on, the monitor is just black no display. I started dismantle to look inside the monitor power board but nothing looks suspicious or burnt. So i took my external ccfl inverter to try to power the monitor ccfl lamps which consisted of 2 lamps on upper part and 2 lamps on the lower part.

Found out the upper ccfl lamp which is supposed to connect to cn304 on the power board did not light up. Then i installed a used working...

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
            by ttmi100x
            Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

            Upon closer inspection...

Epson 5040UB Projector No Lamp Strike Stuck in Startup - Blinking Status/Lamp Lights
            by vestaviascott
Hoping someone here can put me on the right track. I'm trying to troubleshoot/flowchart the "internal projector error" on my newly acquired Facebook Marketplace bought Epson 5040UB projector (3LED, not DLP). Owner said it needed new lamp, actually error code blink pattern indicates "Internal Projector Error, call Epson support". Unit is out of warranty as of 8/19

            Here's what happens:

            1) Power on
            2) Blue power indicator lights and the lens cover motor opens the lens cover, light fan noise heard
            3) Blue status light flashes for appx 4 minutes...

BenQ TH681 Originally overheating now wont fire the lamp - Colour wheel not starting
            by AJ847.63e
            Hi All.

Does anyone have any reference materials or something I can use to try troubleshooting a BenQ TH681? Google unfortunately has turned up zip. I did find a service manual for a W series BenQ but that is pretty much useless, it's more a glorified user manual. A list of voltages would be great as I suspect my mainboard is faulty, the colour wheel voltage is not dipping like it should.

The one I am troubleshooting now was originally overheating after a lamp replacement. It originally would take 2 minutes or so for it to shut off and blink the temp and lamp lights...

            Samsung Syncmaster 943B problem
            by falcontech
            Hello
I have a problem with a samsung 943B, initially thinking it was a power problem i replaced the power board which is a bn44-00082e, i had a flashing of the ccfl lamps and the monitor would not start, i replaced the power board and the problem is remained, thinking they were the lamps I tested them with a ccfl lamp tester and they are all working, at this point I think it is the main board which is a BN41-01172B, my question is, before making a further purchase there is a way to turn on the lamps without the main board to exclude that the new power board is also broken? Of course without...
