    LG 55LN5750-UH backlights

So I've gotten this LG 55LN5750-UH TV set in with bad backlights. Getting a strip replacement for this set is nearly impossible. I found those LED's at SJ: http://www.shopjimmy.com/replacement...-set-of-12.htm
Problem is that those at SJ are for up to 50" TV, like a 50LN5750. I wonder if they are the same for the 55"? Cording to SJ, if the TV model number isn't listed, it won't work (as far as support goes), but we know that these guys aren't always right either.

I would remove an led and check size, pad polarity and pad configuration. I believe the problem is the lens are different not the led

I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

How much LEDs does the 55" strip have and how much do the 50" have. If the difference is 1 or 2 per strip I would use the strips available.

the lens isn't a problem. Those are still good on the set. It's just the LED's on which I am not sure on. Maybe just for heck, I am going to order them anyways.

I have no idea how much LED's that 50" set has.

Shopjimmy is selling lens and led and I believe the lens are different which is why they don't list as compatible

Why not to resolder only bad leds? Why you want to change whole strip?

I don't care about the lens that comes from SJ, I just want the LED's to fit. All lenses on mine are still good. I've ordered the LED kit now anyway. Let's see what happens.
I was looking for strips, so I can replace the bad Led / led strip on the set I have.

i found few LED tv with broken screen, you can get them for free or for some funny price.
Rip them off and keep stripes for spares LEDs, i`ve done that and i`ve never need to buy new leds yet.

Unfortunately one can't go to the recycling bin and take out stuff anymore. It's theft around here, go figure.

Got the LED's from SJ, put them in with the old lenses. Works fine.

                      Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

                      Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

                      Hi there.

My uncle's tvs leds went out.

I actually had some from a cracked tv that I picked up years ago.

I replaced them all except for 1 strip because I had cut one up for a project. He still had a couple that tested ok.

These are laid out 2 strips with 7 leds each in series. 3 strip sets in series, with another 3 strip set in series. A total of 84 leds. The power supply says it's 326v. 326/84 = 3.8v per led.

Well after I gave it back to him, 1 strip died 2 days later. The one that I didn't replace I guess.

I replaced the backlights in this unit and only half of them are now working. The strips were bad, I could see a few LEDs that blew up. The power supply outputs 190V to the LEDs in the working strip (1-2 and 3-4) and the non working LEDs (5-6 and 7-8) have 120V on + and 65V on -.. Using chassis as ground point. Any suggestions...

I wonder if i shorted the whole strip...where to put pos and neg to just light up a single diode...or the entire strip. The strip lit for a second...so maybe i fried it? What say you?

I have an adjustable dc power supply and was trying around 9 volts.

I have a pic of a single diode...where to put pos and neg terminals to light it up?

Pic of middle of strip..is this where i light the entire strip?

And pic of end...or does this light the entire strip?

Where to put pos and neg for single diode..multiple diodes and the entire...
