Sharp LC-60C6600U main board or main board repair needed

    Hi,

Anyone out there have a working main board for a Sharp LC-60C6600U?
The tv I have hangs up on the Sharp logo then goes off and repeats the cycle. I've tried various reset methods including trying to force a software upgrade with a flash drive.
I suspect that the eeprom is corrupt but I haven't found anyone selling just the eeprom or anyone repairing the main board.
The parts numbers on the board are DUNTKG460WE01. I think the original Sharp number is DKEYMG460FM02 as there is a sticker on the board with G460FM02
I believe the same board is used in several 60" and 70" Sharp models.

    Thanks
    Mike

Re: Sharp LC-60C6600U main board or main board repair needed

    Mike,

I have tried to fix this board myself in the past, tried a few different data recovery techniques off the Nand chip which holds the data, not sure if I was successful, but the symptoms didn't change after placing a new chip on. I have tried replacing the main CPU chip in case it could have been at fault somehow, tried replacing some of the other parts as well with no difference in symptoms. That Main CPU is a pain to replace, to many legs.
Let me know if you are able to find a new board and if there are more than one available. I would love to stock up on this guy.
    Good luck .

      Nick,

That's really good information. So it looks like the best solution is another main board.
I've seen the same board number supposedly used in the 70" version of this set. If I happen to find one that is from a 70" will I have to get into the service menu and change settings - like the panel for example. I've done that for Samsung sets but never for a Sharp.
Is the G460FM02 the main number that I should look for in a replacement?
I also noticed that there isn't a heat sink on the processor but there is a thermal pad on the underside of the board directly under it. The pad is between the board and chassis. Makes me wonder if overheating is a cause of the issues.
Everyone seems to be out of the board but if I find a stash, I'll let you know.
I did find that PTS has a repair service for $125.

      Thanks again,
      Mike

I found a replacement main board with exact part numbers.
        Tv is now fully functional.
Just wanted to close out this thread.

Re: Sharp LC-60C6600U main board or main board repair needed

          Hello!

I've got a very similar set (Sharp LC-60LE660U) that won't work. When plugged in, the white LED beneath the center of the screen immediately comes on, and I can see that the backlights also come on. But there's no picture, and the TV can't be turned on or off, neither with the remote nor with the Power button on the set. The Power Supply/LED board, and also the TCON board, have been substituted, but nothing changed. I assume the problem is in the Main board (DKEYMG460FM01)--which doesn't seem to have any user-replaceable components on it. I'm having trouble finding a replacement board, but your post suggests that you were able to. Can you tell me where you found it, and what you had to pay for it?

Also, I've read that the manufacturer (Sharp) says that the DKEYMG460FM02 or the DKEYMG460FM02N are substitute replacements. Can anyone verify this? And if those replacements are used, are any special adjustments or re-settings needed?

Thank you very much for any help you're able to give!

              https://www.ebay.com/itm/SHARP-Main-...oAAOSwaVRaqQLo
Seems a little pricey at 145 bucks free shipping, there is a make offer option on that one.

Re: Sharp LC-60C6600U main board or main board repair needed

Thanks for the help, guys... Shop Jimmy had nothing (I had tried there first), and Encompass had nothing in stock, but would accept defective boards for repair (about $141; probably more for shipping and possibly tax...). The e-bay one (for $145) was gone, despite being pricey... I found some online references that said DKEYMG460FM02N was a substitute/replacement for the original (DKEYMG460FM01), and I found one at Walker Global Parts for $92 plus shipping. They show a Florida location, but the board shipped from Buffalo, NY to me here in California--two days by Priority Mail (and no tax, whether you have a resale license or not). Cheerful customer service, speedy shipping (ordered Wednesday afternoon; arrived Friday morning). Substitution was good--the TV now works perfectly fine.

PTS Electronics (http://www.ptselectronicsinc.com) also says it will repair these boards for $95. They show none in stock, but say that you can send yours in for a fix. Of course, I expect you'll have to pay shipping both ways...

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                    by Asraf Atb
                    Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

                    🧩 Problem Summary:
                    • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                    • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
                    • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

                    Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
                    by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
                    CN6401
                    Pin 01 NC
                    Pin 02 NC
                    Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V

(SOLVED) - ONN 100012588 No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change
                    by JDC
                    ONN 100012588
Issue: No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

                    Long answer:

TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....
