Philips 32PFL3807H/12 repair, bass speaker sweating acid liquid?!

This one is weird. CSI like.

It gets to me because left half screen is intermittently flickering. After opening, I see that central bass speaker box is wet. First I assume an external leak, but I can't see any signs of water or anything already dry in back cover (outside nor inside). Also, there're no signs of liquid in PSU or MAIN board. Even more: only one face of the speaker box is wet. The half that touches the LCD panel is totaly dry.

But problem is that this liquid has dripped through LVDS cable to T-CON connector, and from there it has flowed down to LCD panel long boards. There's some damage to T-CON LVDS connector, and at left LCD board FFC connector. Looks like this liquid is slightly corrosive, but not a lot (otherwise, I'd have been unrepairable). Aside of cleaning, I've had to resolder two pins at FFC connector.

So I deduct that plastic from the bass speaker has "sweated" that liquid. If someone else finds out the same thing, please report. I don't know if it will keep leaking from now on.

    Do you have a picture?
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

      No, and it’s already reassembled.

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

How to clean Liquid Metal from under CPU?
        by silver60618
Hi all, Im working on a board, that my customer brought to another shop, and smeared liquid metal all over the board.
The laptop powers on, then shuts off. I noticed traces of Liquid Metal near the edge of the CPU, but I fear some maybe underneath.

Has anyone ever tried Ultrasonic cleaning, or compressed air to remove or agitate the liquid metal?

        Liquid cooling?
        by Hondaman
I hope my computer does not randomly reboot while typing this. My main system is the AsRock 970A-G/3.1 motherboard with the AMD 8150 chip. I am experiencing FREQUENT and RANDOM reboots once the system is used for a couple of hours (sometimes it reboots before I even get to the Win7/Linux Mint dual-boot screen). The problem MIGHT be the DRAM controller chip (I recently upgraded to the maximum 64 GB RAM). It also might be the VRM chips. I am using a typical aftermarket CPU cooler, which does NOT blow air DOWN onto the VRM heat sink.

Strange liquid on damaged GTX1080 card
        by kurland
        Hi,

I'm fixing a GPU card for a streamer, was sent to me by mail. A shorted cap on a power rail has severely burned the PCB.

As you can see from the darkened PCB around the mosfets there are signs of liquid damage. But it's odd because the person says no water has entered the PC cabinet. If you spill something on a desktop you would know I guess...

Funny thing is that the liquid is not only on the PCB but on top of many chips which are tightly covered by thermal padding under the heatsink, even on top of some of the RAM chips

Amplifier - bad sound when loud sound on bass
        by eduaqa
I'n trying to fix a M&S SYSTEM DMC-1which have following problem:
I'm using FM station to do this fix, I works perfect if volume below around 8 or if bass is set to zero, the sound can go to 20 without problem, but if I set bass to maximum and try to go over 10 the sound comes distorted ... I saw a video on YouTube the person saying about the main capacitors on the power portion, but I disconnect the main transformer and inject direct to the capacitors PINs my bench power supply -23v 0v +23v, but still distorted so I think the problem is not the capacitor neither the transformer...
