Hi all. Given this 2011 model the Sanyo logo comes up at start and that is all but does have sound. Power board output voltages all check OK. Nothing obvious seen. To me the screen output other than picture does seem ok but menus etc do not display. Main is 569KI0601B no maker name and LCD is Samsung. Anyone with experience these models? Pics to follow.

Re: Sanyo LCD40XR11F sound no picture -mainboard?
I think you may be right that they don't as I can't see any light from rear view (none of the usual holes) and its sus that no menu comes up. There is 24v output from power board. Will take cover off and see what I can on screen output boards.Comment

Re: Sanyo LCD40XR11F sound no picture -mainboard?
Took cover off inverter and this revealed two holes thru which I can see that backlight comes on for a second then off. I understand board can have an overload protection circuit switch which can be bypassed for testing for a few minutes but will give that a miss. Inverter is SS1400_08A01 rev 0.2 and a lot of these available around $20/30 from overseas.Comment

Yes I am punting on the inverter as ccfl beyond my scope - no indication of arcing seen or heard. This set is one of nine acquired in the past week. My work tools consist of mm , soldering iron, set of screwdrivers and very limited space - hobbyist only.Comment

Re: Sanyo LCD40XR11F sound no picture -mainboard?
Around this time each local council has a household cleanup collection for old white goods furniture etc so I advertise on local Facebook site to take away non working TVs of 40" or more with unbroken screen. Very good response and a real mixture. Have got 3 working so far (mainly bad caps on power boards) and on track, I hope, with another 3 awaiting parts which will take around 3/4 weeks, and a lg plasma bad ysus working on now. Either keeping me out of, or getting me into!, mischief.Comment

Re: Sanyo LCD40XR11F sound no picture -mainboard?
So far I have had best luck posting for free pick up of nonworking tv on Craigslist. But about 80% are cracked screens. Still I've gotten some good ones. Posted on facebook but not much luck.I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.Comment

Re: Sanyo LCD40XR11F sound no picture -mainboard?
I think one reason for my good response is that in this yearly cleanup the sets just go into a compactor truck and become landfill. A number of people would rather give them to someone who may save them from that. Normally if they go to the tip they are passed on to a recycler.Comment

Re: Sanyo LCD40XR11F sound no picture -mainboard?
After some weeks received new inverter board (and it does indeed look new) which went well but after about 15 mins picture jumped around sound went out of synch then all settled down but with about half inch strip of red colour across bottom of screen. Looks a bit like a foldover. Now after many weeks pulled set apart again to check t-con but where is it?? On main board or locked in screen frame?? See picsComment

Re: Sanyo LCD40XR11F sound no picture -mainboard?
The Tcon appears to be the long narrow pcb the cable connects to in 2nd photoWilling to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Sanyo LCD40XR11F sound no picture -mainboard?
Yes it does and to get it out looks like a pull a lot of frame apart. But I do wonder why the white square is marked out on the main board.Comment

The blank main board PCB can be stuffed with difference parts to create a bunch of PCBAs for the required TV models.

Check the smd capacitors on the integrated Tcon board for short circuit. Some forum users have been very lucky and found the fault to be just capacitor failure.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...-

by DodgethisHello all,
This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...5 Photos -
by hugocarmoHi again guys.
Today I have a problem with this Sanyo VCR.
I bought it online, It worked sometimes.
I recap the Power supply and it started working fine.
Image is perfect and all digital effects too.
All of a sudden it stopped outputting sound. I checked for dried solders an all boards and soldered when needed, no fix.
I have no sound on playback, on tuner, or aux in.
On symptom I noticed is when it was working fine, the HI-FI led was on when I power up the VCR, now is OFF, A-B leds are on but when I put a tape they go off.
On one of the sound processing... - Loading...
