    LG Innotek DRT 3.0

    Hello!

Recently I acquired a discontinued 2014 49" LG LED TV and after some research and testing it seems the problem is a few of the LED strips have gone bad. I was able to find some replacement strips but the issue I have is that a few of the end connectors on the positive and negative link cables broke during disassembly. I'm assuming the connectors are somewhat of a LG "specialty" and I'd be hard pressed to find the exact same style unless I found a broken/parts LG TV of a similar model and got lucky.

First question would be am I incorrect in my assumption? I could take a picture of the end and post on here if they're more readily available than I imagine.

In the event my assumption is correct, what would be the best way to solder the wires to the strips? The attached image shows what the connecting ends looks like on these strips. Would it be best to solder to the leads on that end or should I remove the encasing and solder directly to the strip? I've tried removing the encasing but it seems to rip up the entire piece.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could just solder to the + and- test points.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

If you are going to use jumper wires between the strips, verify which pad is connected to which pin of the connector first.
