So, I have a Panasonic TC-P50S30 that is doing the 7 red blinks.
At first, I guess I misdiagnosed it as a power supply issue, and replaced that board, but the problem persisted.
I disconnected the cables at C20 and SC20, the red blinks increased to 8, but the tv still did not turn on.
I did the sd/sw isolation test, but there were still 7 blinks.
I also tested the A board by removing the 3 ribbon cables from the board and disconnecting SC2, SC11, and P35. When I did this, there was a solid red light.
I did test for a short at SC2, by testing for continuity between the two pins, and I did not get continuity. The resistance was over 1M, although it did drop slowly as I held my multimeter there.
I am assuming that the issue is the SC board, but is there a way to tell for sure? What confuses me is that I don't get a short on the board....
What is the next step?
