    Fuzzy audio.

I have a Toshiba Model 46XV648U LCD TV. It's 8 years old and for approx. the last 6 months the audio would sound fuzzy and have an ecko to it. The only way to correct it is to shut the tv off then turn it on again. I've seen complaints about this when I've Googled it or searched it on YouTube, but never seen any remedies for the problem. I'm hoping I can find the fix here. Thanks.

I believe this is a software update problem. support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=2805249.

With help from a coworker who is a fan of forums I was able to get an update and sve it to a thumb drive. only problem was when I plugged it into the tv it gave me the following message: "The software upgrade was unsuccessful. Please see warranty section of Owner's manual for instructions on finding the nearest Authorized
service Station or visit TACP's web site at www.toshiba.com/tacp. Please remove any media cards and press OK. Your TV system will reboot after which you may resume normal viewing."
I welcome any suggestions anyone has.

You certain it is the right firmware for your model? is the thumb drive properly formatted? I believe most firmwares come with a txt file instructing how to properly format and load firmware. Also make sure your usb port is not clogged up with dust.
