The LED strips I mentioned are actually LED backlight replacement strips. Perhaps then I'm not calling it by the correct name. These are Samsung replacements that I get off e-bay and they do come with the diffuser lens attached. I have done this procedure about five (5) times already. 2-32", 1-42", 1-46" and 1-55" with success. The picture shows like normal and I have had no callbacks since.

      As labeled on the board:
      IN-PW?(M) = Internal PWM dimming
      EX-PW?(M) = External PWM Dimming
      ON/OFF = BL-ON BACKLIGHTS ON/OFF
These signal are from the main board.
the Dimming control signal will one of the two but not both.
      Thank for this information budm.

sorry it was me i was thinking the cheap leds you get on a roll of ebay ali express etc yes it makes sence using the correct strips even salvaged out of smashed screen sets would do the job i guess.

Yes...and the TV now uses less power.....of course you would have to disable the Inverter section.....may have to cut copper traces or remove links so there is no unnecessary power usage.

OK, it's official, I'm a knob! Of course, replacement inverter didn't change anything because I have faulty tubes. Build one of those CFL testers (a cut down CFL globe) and it fires up off the inverter. Even the old inverter which I put back in.
Do I scrap or what? 32 inch. Not much demand or interest. Think I might put it aside and if I get another defective 32 inch through with broken panel but good tubes I might do a surgery job on it. Can't justify the LED conversion unless I do it as a learning experience.
Sorry to all whose time I wasted trying to fault find a working inverter.

              Original Xbox 1.0 PSU: Foxlink FTPS-0002 Rev. B. — 12 V low, 5 V high — transformer?
              by ohren
              Hello!

I'm looking at an original Xbox PSU: Foxlink ftps-0002 rev. B. The 12 V output is too low, and the 5 V output is too (?) high. Unfortunately I don't have an oscilloscope but only a DMM for diagnosis.

              Measured voltages with no load:

              After rectifier diodes
              12V: 6.17 V
              5V: 5.67 V

Secondary transformer pins AC measurement (really don't know if this says anything)
              12V: 2-2.5 V
              5V: 1.04 V

I also have another (working) Xbox psu from Delta. The same measures there, in order, being: 10.79,...

Dell Latitude 7420 - Touchscreen not working since Mainboard replacement
              by Mirenia
              Hi everyone,

I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…

In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.

The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled...

MASTER TL240 and new mainboard LW36BKC01
              by orcic
              Hello,
I have an old MASTER TL-240 LED TV. Since it stopped working and it had a DVB-T receiver that is being dismissed in Italy, I've decided to replace the mainboard with a DVB-T2 one.
The original problem was that when switching on the TV, the power LED was transitioning from red to steady blue, without showing video or audio.
After checking some voltages on the power supply board (HKL-240101-B Rev. 1.4, HKL from now on) someone suggested me to replace the mainboard.
Now I have some doubts about how to connect the new mainboard to the old power supply.
              First of...

Vizio E55-E1 bad backlights or bad inverter?
              by x_orange90_x
I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

              3PHASE STEP-DOWN Transformer in Check
              by dennis_elx33
              Hello All,

i would like to post an interesting topic regarding 3-phase stepdown transformer which we suspect to cause an overcurrent (138A) which resulted to power tripped off of the HV power supply (80KV output).

              Problem statement: Power tripped Off

Initial Problem: Found 2 IGBT and 2 rectifier diodes shorted (burnt).

              Action Done:
              1) Replaced the faulty parts with good spare.
              2) Measured impedance of the 3phase input lines and found that L2 to L3 has 23.3ohm while other pairs are 51Kohm. This pins will...
