    Hitachi 50HYT62U/Vestel Turd

Have picked up a 50" Hitachi/Vestel thingy recently with a screen that turns on grey then fades out to black. Backlight appears to be working and PSU is OK (had a spare, both with the same result).

Looks like a firmware issue after a little googling around. Would anyone happen to have the firmware for it? The board is a 17MB95M with sticker 10090755 23193499

Failing that, is there anything else I should be looking for on this?

    Cheers

i have just dumped the same tv, but it was PANASONIC/VESTEL, i had the same problem as you, all turns on ok, with back lights working, and it turns out i had a shorted screen tab, so check the fuse on the T-CON first, and if that ok, check the screen tabs for heat,

All is not lost though, the LED's were mostly good and I'll be using them as lights in my new mancave

It's my first I usually work on my snooker table however I'm currently clearing out my shed, so my work area is significantly reduced. People call me intelligent, but I often doubt that when I'm resting a 50" panel on a small box and then go to pick it up by each end.
          What a plum! Lesson learned!

Help with Bush Tv (Vestel 17mb95m Mainboard)
                    by FlailingEngineer
Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...

Hitachi (Vestel) TV is not turning on
                    by Askic
                    Hello guys,

I have 32 inch Hitachi TV with Vestel PSU board 17IPS71. Tv was working normally and I shut it down normally via remote control.
The next morning it couldn't turn ON neither with remote controller or via button on the logic board.
There is a red standby LED ON, so it is not dead totally.
I have examined the PSU board and I cannot find find any traces of blown components or bulged caps. Electrolytic caps are manufactured by Elite.
I also check diodes and big MOSFET (with cooler/heatsink). It seems OK.

Can you tell me based on...

The Misery of Vestel Corrupt Firmware - Many Questions! (17MB95M - Hitachi 42HYT42U)

                    Hitachi 42HYT42U, Vestel Mainboard 17MB95M, Panel - VES420UNDL:

Looked at this 6 months ago, booted to Hitachi Logo and with flashing blue and red Leds then back to standby red.

Checked PSU etc, caps, and concluded like everyone else here and had another thread 6 months ago that it was corrupt firmware.

Bought 2 replacement boards of ebay, 1 did the same, the other didn't go back to standby after logo just carried on flashing blue and red. Got one refunded.

So gave up. 6 Months later decided to look again and bought another board as only...

Hitachi 43HAE4251 - Vestel 17MB171 - Displays logo and reboots
                    by EnricoS92
                    Hello,

I have a problem with this tv Hitachi with vestel 17MB171 board.

I turned off a couple days ago and the next morning when I turned on it had the issue, i tried to left the power unplugged for several hours but nothing.

The tv turns on shows the logo picture and after a few seconds reboots, and start over again.

I was able to connect via uart to the tv and grab the log I attached, it has logged 3 reboots.

I believe it is a corrupted software, but I could not find any online, does anyone has it, or where to download....
