Good day folks. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction with this Samsung TV which displays a white picture even after replacing the AS15F on the T-con board. I checked the caps on the T-con board and they seem OK. Someone told me it could be a panel fault...has anyone else had this issue when the picture's still the same even after replacing the gamma IC ? Any point in taking off the metal frame and inspecting the buffers ?

To be fair I haven't measured those. I just assumed that replacing it with a new part would immediately eliminate the possibility of that part being faulty. You may be right to a degree, though I doubt the new part is also faulty out of the box...Wattevah...Comment

Have you tried the Tcon self test as on page 30 of the pdf attached.
Edit
I must admit that I have not but it has been mentioned on the forum in the past.Attached FilesLast edited by dick_barton; 03-06-2017, 04:01 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Samsung LE32A430T white, hazy picture (replaced AS15F)
No, I have not done that because I didn't know about it, plus the T-con in that brochure doesn't match the one I've got and I'm not sure how well the results can be replicated on a different T-con without letting the magic smoke out...will definitely keep that in mind in the future.Wattevah...Comment

Re: Samsung LE32A430T white, hazy picture (replaced AS15F)
Surely there is a gamma correction /as15 problem, are you sure the ic was new? Or you picked one faulty previously removed? Or it is a soldering problem, check it well... if you are in doubt post pictures of the job, how many as15 you have replaced?Last edited by Davi.p; 03-06-2017, 06:30 AM.Comment

Re: Samsung LE32A430T white, hazy picture (replaced AS15F)
I too believe it's still a gamma issue. The IC was bought new - I never save any SMD parts off of old boards anyway and I never use salvaged parts for clients because they may fail shortly after. I've already closed the set back up, but the solder job looks perfect to me - almost factory made. I wouldn't call myself a pro, however, I have replaced several of these with positive results. Perhaps something killed it immediately after startup :|Wattevah...Comment

by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture

- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by DodgethisHello all,
This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...5 Photos - Loading...
