No power on Sony KE-42TS2 after fuse replacement

Hi,so I was watching my tv and " pop " off it went ,then nothing no leds, no click, so I took off the back cover and saw a fuse checked it it was bad so I proceeded to disassemble took off power board ,got new fuse same version replaced blown one ,checked all solder joints on board few were questionable, top side looks normal nothing visible burnt ,or blown ,so I hooked it all back up ,and nothing , zero .pulled power board back off and it has power up to the relay, took relay apart looks new ,I've read about having to jump ps-on ,but unsure of which pins on which IC , and should it still show V on the stand - by without relay closed any help would be nice , thanx Brent Power board is model 1-468-720-11. (APS-192) Sony

We need good clear pictures of the whole back side of the TV showing all the boards and the pictures of the power supply board, that will be a starting point.

You should download the training manual and the service manual.

The command signals are fed to that black connector on the left side of the board.

Really , thanks for the links Budm ,but I actually joined this forum in hopes of learning how to fix my own board not buy a new one (used) especially since I don't no what's wrong with the tv to begin with .I'm just trying to test the power supply board and looking for help doing that, and I've read pretty much all the power supply post on here for all makes , and I was hoping you would help me and you threw me a couple of links ,and commands go to black connector, isn't the ps-on sig.sent from a IC (logic) chip to relay? If anybody else is reading this and can, or wants to help me out on this I would appreciate it, thanks

Well you should down load the service manual and the training manuals and look through them. I did not have the time to down load and study them yet either.
The manual will at least show you how all the boards are connected and how the signals are being used and Voltages, etc.
if you want to learn then you have to look through and read the schematic to fix the board down to component level, at least the service manual is available.

Hey budm, i downloaded the sca matics and i was wondering if me not having the fan hooked up when i tried to power it on might of been a prob. because i saw a [fan detc.] wording on said sca matic drawing. right by PW,SW-ON,and all the other start up stuff.

Re: No power on Sony KE-42TS2 after fuse replacement

Its highly probable that without the fan running it sees it as a fault and would shut down your set to protect it from overheating. Don't know the set, just offering an opinion.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Thx, dick I'm sure somthing went wrong in the first place for the fuse to blow so I was checking for shorts and I have straight continuity between these two points with the caps removed and I saw the connection to the heat sink after I turned it over so I get that part but between the + and - of the cap?
