Thx, dick I'm sure somthing went wrong in the first place for the fuse to blow so I was checking for shorts and I have straight continuity between these two points with the caps removed and I saw the connection to the heat sink after I turned it over so I get that part but between the + and - of the cap?

Hey budm, i downloaded the sca matics and i was wondering if me not having the fan hooked up when i tried to power it on might of been a prob. because i saw a [fan detc.] wording on said sca matic drawing. right by PW,SW-ON,and all the other start up stuff.

Really , thanks for the links Budm ,but I actually joined this forum in hopes of learning how to fix my own board not buy a new one (used) especially since I don't no what's wrong with the tv to begin with .I'm just trying to test the power supply board and looking for help doing that, and I've read pretty much all the power supply post on here for all makes , and I was hoping you would help me and you threw me a couple of links ,and commands go to black connector, isn't the ps-on sig.sent from a IC (logic) chip to relay? If anybody...

Hi,so I was watching my tv and " pop " off it went ,then nothing no leds, no click, so I took off the back cover and saw a fuse checked it it was bad so I proceeded to disassemble took off power board ,got new fuse same version replaced blown one ,checked all solder joints on board few were questionable, top side looks normal nothing visible burnt ,or blown ,so I hooked it all back up ,and nothing , zero .pulled power board back off and it has power up to the relay,took relay apart looks new ,I've read about having to jump ps-on ,but unsure of which pins on which IC , and should it still...

Hi I'm Brent ,retired , love muscle cars ,mostly self taught looking for sound advise on repairing electronics always willing to learn new things , I've been tearing apart fixing and putting back together non working things since childhood ,really the only way to see how stuff works .
