    Sharp 70" LC-70LE734U : 1-1, 1 Slow - 1 Fast, Backlight Extravaganza!

    I have a previous thread for this tv that relates to a 2-3(2 short, 3 long) error code that was fixed by replacing the main board:

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ht=lc-70le734u

    I decided to restart this thread because I felt like the 1-1 error code is the most common for the Sharp 70 inchers, and the title of the previous thread doesn't reflect the 1-1 error code and might be overlooked by someone for whom the information contained in this thread might be of great benefit. That being said, let's get to it.

    I thought I had a backlight issue so I attempted the laborious process of removing the lcd screen on this bad boy. Unfortunately I cannot find any issues with the backlighting and was hoping that someone could help me troubleshoot. As you can see from the pictures below, all of the leds come on just fine. In order to get them to come on, I have to use Vol+ and Channel-. If I attempt to get into the service menu by using Vol- and Input the boomerang status light goes solid for 8 seconds and looks like everything is going to work, but then it starts throwing the 1-1 code again, so no service menu for me! . I have 2 main boards with which to test and this happens on both of them.

    The cabling only comes in from the right side of the tv, so the wiring runs to the left side of the tv are longer. There are two led strips per row. On the first row the labeling would be 1L(1 Left) and 1R(1 Right), the second row would be 2L and 2R, etc. The black and green references are for the coloring on the led pcb units, the leds are a slightly different tint, this may not show up in the pictures. I took voltage readings on each of the test points on each led strip. The initial readings are as follows:

    Legend: L=Left, R=Right, B=Black, G=Green
    1L(B):71.4V 1R(B):71.4V
    2L(G):69.0 2R(G):74.1
    3L(B):71.9 3R(B):71.6
    4L(G):69.0 4R(G):73.3
    5L(B):70.9 5R(B):70.6
    6L(G):68.2 6R(G):73.0
    7L(B):69.9 7R(B):70.9
    8L(G):69.0 8R(G):71.8
    9L(B):70.1 9R(B):72.5
    AL(G):69.0 AR(G):72.6
    BL(B):70.1 BR(B):71.2
    CL(G):69.1 CR(G):74.1
    DL(B):70.6 DR(B):70.9
    EL(G):69.1 ER(G):72.0

    I had 2 black strips that I had ordered before I knew there were 2 different types, so I attempted to replace 1R and 7R due to lower voltage for the black color. After replacement 1R jumped to 74.1V and 7R jumped to 73.8V. Unfortunately, after doing so, I noticed that 9R went down from 72.5 to 70.7.....#confused.

    Please help me.

    I don't believe the "actual voltage" number is directly important as it is driven by the need that controls current requirements, so I believe the voltage can "wander" as the control determines the appropriate current.

    Sorry but having not followed previous thread, have you tried disconnecting the lower corner cables (one at each corner of the panel) to see if it responds differently?

      @budwich

      I can definitely give that a try, what will that be testing?

      I did find another thread where a guy was having the exact same issue: a 1-1 error and unable to get into the service menu. Unfortunately, a follow up response was never posted.

        Sharp LC-80LE844U Blinks 2 slow, 5 fast
        by joblo37pam
        It's been a while since I've checked in here or needed input on narrowing down what to replace on a TV repair, but I've got one on my bench now that has me wondering. The lack of part (board) availability means I may need to do some component-level diagnostics, and a second opinion is always good when it comes to that.

        The issue - Sharp LC-80LE844U does not display. Power light comes on for a while, then you can hear a relay click off and the light blinks twice slow, then five times fast. Service manual points to 'Panel Power Supply Error' with this code, but isn't much more help...

        Good morning... I'm new here and have a LOT to learn.

        I'm a rescue-er. I live in NYC and I don't even want to get started on the amout of stuff that makes it onto the curb, to be crushed and in a land fill, simply because our repair shops have been sold out and because - well, it's a disposable society... Anywho

        I have 1 motorcycle, 3 Jaguars and a Porsche that were all headed to the crusher due to a couple handfuls of needed parts and a Lil Love,,, I'm hooked on the rescue. A member of several forums and a huge fan of DIY environments such as this one. Hats off to you...

        Once soldered the laptop started fine and I was able to install Windows 11, upgrade BIOS to version F30 from Windows without a problem, BUT I found a strange and annoying...

        Sharp LC-90LE745U 3 slow and 1 fast Blink
        by c00lman
        hi, new member her and apologize if this has been discussed.. tried to search and most of the result are for LC-xxLe6xx series and not sure if it's applicable to the 745U.

        the TV stopped turning on and after the V logo stayed solid for a minute or 2, it gives the 3 slow and 1 fast blinks which from what I researched are internal communication error.

        did some voltage measurement on the power supply out.
        Pin 1 and 2 = 0V --> PNL 12V
        Pin 3 and 4 = 0 V --> GND
        Pin 5 to 8 = 13V --> UR 13V
        Pin 9 to 12 = 0 V --> GND
        PIN 13...

        Bestec ATX0300F5WA - fast,or slow blow, fuse?
        by socketa
        I bought a dead motherboard, and connected it to this PSU,
        Was checking the standby voltages on the motherboard, and, whilst doing so, the PSU made a loud bang with a flash of light.
        So now i truly got a bang for my bucks, and something else to try and fix.
        The fuse was blowen, and the top was blowen off of a TNY276PN chip
        The glass fuse didn't have any marking to say if it was fast or slow blow
        So i checked the marking on the PCB thinking that that would tell me,
        but it 's got a T/F8A printed on the board
        So should i get a fast blow fuse, or should...
