Re: westinghouse dwm50f3g1 powers up with no picture

Okay, got the new T-Con board and put it in. turned the unit on and the Westinghouse emblem came up... However it was a static hum about 1 second long and then 1 second no hum then the hum again for a second. Every time it made the sound there were horizontal lines through the emblem on the picture. I quickly turned it off and made sure all connections were tight (which they were) and tried it again. Nothing! It is now back to a dark dim lit blank screen? Any ideas?

Maybe it would be better described as an electrical hum. It was coming from a component on the T-con board I am pretty sure.

Any suggestions at all? Would a main board replacement be worth a try?

I think you have problem on panel side that blew out your t-con
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

A replacement main board wouldn't change that. I think you got a bad panel.

budm I think VGH is pin 22, VGL looks to be in lower left corner

At this point it looks like the panel took out your new T-CON board.
