Re: Broken Vizio E500i-B1, need of service manual
Mine is a vizio model m502i-b1.But the power supply is the same as shown in earlier pics.I would have to agree that the 24 volt line is mislabeled.I changed all the caps ( 35 v 330 muf)even though they tested OK,and still no 24 volt.Mine only puts out 19v,but the TV plays just fine.Wonder why would they mislead people like that?
I was trying to see if anyone had a working set where the output voltage could be verified.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Broken Vizio E500i-B1, need of service manual
It's weird that the video/audio (main board) just fades away.. It would seem to me that if the main board powers up and operates for an hr or more with the 15.4 volts from the power board, it should always stay on. But depending on "whatever" it shuts off on its on.Comment

Re: Broken Vizio E500i-B1, need of service manual
Just looking through the following thread and it clearly says that the supply is 15V although it was initially stated as 24V. Worth a read through the complete thread.

maybe if you have a bench psu inject 24 volts to that line on the mainboard see if the set stays onComment

Re: Broken Vizio E500i-B1, need of service manual
Yeah, I don't have a bench PSU.. just an average Joe, trying to fix this stupid thing. I've changed IC9301, IC9101, and main board....and power board..It actually stayed on longer after that IC9301 ** Thanks to CAPWIZARDComment

Re: Broken Vizio E500i-B1, need of service manual
I appreciate what you are saying and you may well be correct. As I said I'm no expert. It's just seems odd that in the first two threads you refer to they appear to conclude that the supply ended up around 15V and working. I can't see any reference in the last two threads regarding what the final working voltage was on the 24V line.
However in one of those threads they did change IC9101 (LCS703LG) & IC9301 (STR A6069H) to get the set working again but I see you have already changed those.
Perhaps the problem is elsewhere?Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Broken Vizio E500i-B1, need of service manual
I'm no expert as well, but I think the problem is : the lack of required voltages allows premature failure of IC9101 and maybe IC9301. Because after the change of ICs the display stayed on for days, I could cycle thru inputs, etc.. but finally it failed again, now it only stays on for 1-2hrs before powering off.
Another note: there are other Vizio boards that DO provide the 24v, logically our boards should do the same .Comment

Re: Broken Vizio E500i-B1, need of service manual
I have a Vizio M502i-B1 that powers up, no sound, however it freezes at the "V" Logo. after about 20 seconds it reboots and the same cycle continues. Does not go beyond the logo. I tried the power switch reset method, but the same thing happens.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!Comment

Re: Broken Vizio E500i-B1, need of service manual
I will pile onto this one and can confirm that when my TV is working, the 24v lines only report back 15.1v.

by Novabeau 2Hello everyone, I'm trying to find some service manuals or schematics for a vizio e55u-d2 55 inch tv that just conked out the other night. It has no power whatsoever.
Have tried all the reset process that vizio had.
Any Insight to this would be great and appreciated. If you all think it's not cost prohibited to fix let me know. known thank you and have a wonderful day. -
by paulxxxxThe TV stuck at logo and cannot be turned off unless the cord is unplugged.
I was given two main boards and exactly the the same thing happens to both of them.
I have checked all voltages on the connector on the power board that goes into the main board and they all look OK.
There are no signs of damage on any of the 3 boards.
Would someone help me with a pointer to the manual? It's supposedly to be the same as E601i-A3.
Thanks! -
