    Philips 46pfl5505d/f7 dead

Hi guys;i have here an lcd tv that i'm trying to save that i found in the dumpster,
Philips 46pfl5505d/f7 that is completely dead, no standby led no voltages at Cn2'
i checked Diodes in circuit ZD951,D950,D951 and all are short in circuit,
i took them all out of the circuit and tested them and only D951 is short out of the circuit ,if i replace D951 will it fix the tv or do i have to look up for other bad components? Thanks and Happy New Year to you all.

Dunno about any other common issues with these Id say give the diode a shot. If they are in parra just run the set with the shorted one removed set will work but replace all 3 at the same time.

Thanks ReeceyBurger123;I'm trying to find ZD 591, PK 5920 the tall Diode but can't find it anywhere,i measured it with diode setting.
I measured the ZD591 5920 and Positive probe on cathode and negative on anode measures OL and positive on cathode and negative on anode 0.678,
      is this normal? thanks

Hi guys which of these To-220 is good for the Replacement of D951,and D950? and how do i connect it to both D950,951? can you make a schematic please, thanks and Happy New Year

Did you measure in-circuit or out of circuit? I think ZD591 is in parallel with the other 2 diodes. If you measure in circuit you will get false readings.

But, zener diodes can't be tested with normal diode test for correct breakdown voltage, only to check if they're not open\shorted anyway.

As for replacement of the diodes...
Going from the other thread, the diodes are SB260s. That's 2A at 60v.

A single SB580 as suggested should work. The board looks like it already has a space for a single, larger, DO-201 package diode anyway.
            You could get http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...0CT-ND/3504367

It doesn't have to be a TO-220 package, although one of those with a heatsink might last longer. I do suspect it's more likely due to variances in forward voltage, one of the original SB260s probably just ended up taking more current and overheating.

              op amp circuit function?
              by Alimash
              Hi,
I am repairing a ups which doesn't turn on ,it has the following ICs:
SG3525 used to drive inverter mosfets.
couple of uc3483, one for the power supply and another to drive a big mosfet at the output stage(i think the technique is called boost)
A LM358 and TL074 for control mechanism and of course the uController.

The SG3525 is shutting down every time the ups is turned on.
I want your help to know the function of LM358 and TL074 in the system.
I reverse engineered the LM358 circuit and i think that one of the block(A) is used for battery level...

Fixing the Charge Circuit of the Batteries of the DC Motor
              by Astonished
              Hi friends of electronics

What you see in the video and pictures attached is the circuit for charging the batteries of a DC motor.

The problem is that this circuit cannot charge the batteries (3 1800mAH NiMH batteries) any more. When the circuit was OK, its green LEDs lit up one at a time to show that the batteries have charged more. But now that the circuit is flawed, LEDs light up as you see in the video and at the same time successive beeps are heard.

Please help me fix this circuit.

Lenovo L490 Ram voltage circuit malfunction
              by rddube
              Hello friends,

Looking for some guidance here. The RAM voltage circuit on this motherboard keeps burning out PU301 which is a RT8231AGQW. Copy of the board with the burnt chip attached with some voltage measurements and copy of the schematics also included.

I think I've checked almost every component in the circuit, but when I change the RT8231, the laptop starts I have 1.2V on the inductor for about 10 seconds and then the RT8231 goes south and no more voltage on the inductor. All other voltages on the laptop are good, this is the only one conking out for a reason I...
