So I opened up this TV and pulled the powerboard to find this....Check photos would this cause no lights or power..

Yes, the circled device (diode) is well and truly blown and needs to be replaced.
The question now is why did it blow?
I would also check out the two 20N60C3 mosfets which are along side for short circuits.Last edited by dick_barton; 12-27-2016, 03:12 PM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.

That is the PFC Booster diode, so do you have 160VDC between the two legs of the main filter cap?
Do you have standby Voltage?Never stop learning
