    LG 55LA6200 (Bad Mainboard)

I obtained an LG 55LA6200 that was about to go to the landfill. Figured I would attempt to rescue it

The problem with the set is that when powered on the red standby light flashes a couple times then goes off. The power supply remains on. 3.5v, 24v and 12v feeds are all good, 84v to the LED strips but from what I understand that's pretty typical when they are off for this set.

The original owner said that during an electrical storm 2 of the HDMI ports stopped working (1 and 2) but the set functioned ok on HDMI 3 for a while after then stopped turning on so I figured maybe that processor gave up the ghost.

When the set is on the processor heatsink temp rapidly rises until it gets up to around 150c so the chip is toast. Doesn't appear to be any heat damage or warping yet to the pcb. The voltage at all the regulators appears to be within reason.

Normally I would just source a salvaged mainboard for $60-70 from ebay or something but this particular one seems a bit hard to find in stock anywhere but I did find a chinese source for the media processor (LGE2122).

I have all the necessary equipment to flow a replacement chip onto the board but figured before I bothered with it I would run it past the forums and see if there has been much success swapping blown processors or of there are any "gotchas" involved. Or perhaps somebody knows where I can obtain a working board (LG EBT62368508 (EAX64872104(1.0)))

    Thanks

Found one for you and they ship worldwide, not sure what the shipping would work out for you though

      Thanks for looking

That board is for model LG 47LA6600 though. While the boards are probably electrically the same the firmware is different and may have a different feature set.

By a quick glance at the spec sheet it seems like the fundamentals are covered. 120hz, 3d, same smart TV features..

Anyone else have any feedback or know of potential problems the 47" model board would cause outside of just the oddity of the model being wrong in the menus.

I also found this one shortly after posting. http://tvparts.supplies/product/lg-5...-mother-board/

Not sure if the company has a good reputation or if it's actually in stock. I emailed them to check but haven't heard back yet.

What is the service code? 55LA6200-UA.BUSULJR or BUSYLJR? IF it is a BUSYLJR, SJ has them.

            Re: LG 55LA6200 (Bad Mainboard)

I found this board for LG model 55LA6205-UA

            https://www.shopjimmy.com/lg-ebt6236...5la6205-ua.htm

The feature set is near identical except the 55LA6205 lists
            120hz true motion
            MCI 240

55LA6200 has the same 120hz true motion but no MCI 240 mentioned.

According to SJ both have the same LCD panel sticker number LA62M55T120V12

Update: I just went ahead and ordered the board for the 55LA6205. Seems the MCI rating is just the "perceived" motion smoothness and nothing that would affect operation. The 55LA6200 is probably rated the same just wasn't listed on LG's specs.

I'll update the thread once I get the board and install it.

Glad you bought it from SJ. Otherwise, buying a mainboard from UK to fit a USA TV is a no-no.

Good News. The 55LA6205 mainboard came in and all is working just fine. Tested all inputs and streaming over ethernet and wifi.

I'll probably still order the LGE2122 processor from china and replace the bad one to have a usable spare mainboard.

                Thanks for the help

Dell Latitude 7420 - Touchscreen not working since Mainboard replacement
                    by Mirenia
                    Hi everyone,

I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…

In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.

The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled...

Vizio M43-C1 - How closely do I need to match the mainboard number?
                    by Devonavar
I have a Vizio M43-C1 stuck in a reboot loop with no backlight.

I've tested all the voltage rails coming out of the power supply and they are "normal" for this model (PS_ON & DIM go high when turned on, BL_ON & 3D_ON are close to zero due to backlight power flowing through the mainboard, 5VSB is 5V, and 12V is 19V, which is apparently normal for this board).

Basically, I get similar results to Garry in this post: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=80346

So, I've ruled out the PSU for now.

                    The reboot loop...

                    Problem LG 49UB850V (Mainboard: EAX65684604 / EBT62954607)
                    by Malva
                    Hi everyone,
I'm trying to repair my LG 49UB850V TV (WebOS 1.0, UHD model from 2014).
                    Mainboard model: EAX65684604
                    PCB marking: EBT62954607
SPI chip: Winbond W25X20CLNIG Problem description:

Originally, the TV would turn on (backlight and LED OK if I force them on), but it shut down as soon as any input was received from the IR sensor or remote. The backlight and power board were working fine.

After testing and verifying the voltages (DRY ON, PWR ON, 12V/24V rails), I suspected a corrupted SPI firmware. What I tried so far:

QN65QN90A - Mainboard MLCC failed - now bootloop
                    by l0lhaxz1
                    Hi

I have a QN65QN90A which was purchased around launch I guess making it about 1.5-2 years old... had been working fine until a few days ago, simply went black and would no longer turn on (at all). No standby light and no typical PSU relay click etc. Absolutely dead.

Pulled it apart without doing much research first, suspecting the power supply as it had a faint buzz (I guess due to the forthcoming found short), investigated PSU for some time and concluded there was no fault that I could spot with the board removed.

Came to learn after a bit more research...
