    Panasonic TH-50PZ800U 7 blink, now 10 blink

Howdy. Started getting a 7 blink code a few months ago. Unplugging the set reset whatever the issue was. The set turning back on was a crapshoot, sometimes yes, sometimes no.

After a little research I bought a SC (TNPA4657) and buffer boards set on ebay and installed them. Now I have a 10 blink code.

Unplugging the set, disconnecting the SC white ribbon, then plugging the set back in results in 2 clicks a pause then the third. This seems to reset it again because reattaching the the SC ribbon and plugging the set back in, it starts up and runs until shut off. Then it's the same crapshoot of either turning on or a now 10 blink code.

Is there a thread I'm missing with steps to determine which board is the problem ?

Stop naping and do a search using your model, many threads with this problem, you will find there is a cap on a module on the power supply board which can cause this 10 blink issue

Done that. Youtube vids too. Repairs kits or repair services on ebay.

But I was chasing a 7 blink, which is now a 10. I have no problem buying the board shopJimmy has one. I'd just like to confirm it's the issue.

what I ment was for you to search this forum, not the internet, there is lots of information here to repair this problem.
From your first post you said you repaired the 7 blink error. Did you read this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ht=TH-50PZ800U regarding the 10 blink, there is one small cap. on the mc301 module (which is on the power supply board) which should cure that 10 blink error.

Apologies for not being more clear.

I installed the boards and upon turning the set on got the 10. I don't know if the boards fixed the 7 or are the cause of the 10.

Yes I read that thread and others. In that post the author mentions unplugging "A6 and A7 boards" to try and locate the problem. Are those the buffer boards ?

Roger on the small cap on the 301. Seen the vid cooling that to confirm it's the cause. I'd just buy a refurbed board though.

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
            by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

panasonic TX-P50V10E 6 blink led problem
            by Vebririon
            Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.

Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible — so please forgive any odd phrasing.

I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report...

            Panasonic TH-42PZ800 8-blink error mystery
            by nervx
Years ago my tv gave a 7 blink code which turned into 8 during diagnosis. I had ordered a replacement ss board but somehow the tv started working again and i never used the board. Now a week ago my tv flickered and shut off at random and gave the 8 blink error code. The same issue it had all those years ago. The only difference this time is that over the last few months there has been some purple and green tinge that comes and goes in more solid colors such as white.

Anyway i checked all the screws and replaced the ss board with a known good one and still got 8 blinks. I saw a...

            (Another) 7 BLINK TC-P60VT60 Panasonic - NEWBIE
            by SentraDude
Greetings from SoCal I am new to this forum but not new to forum world. I come from Automotive end of side which is my main passion in life. Give the automotive nature, I love fixing and restoring things and I have in the past fixed many simple electronics, soldering, etc.. but this is a bit more involved so I found this forum, and I am very glad I did.

I picked up a Panasonic TC-P60VT60 with the 7 BLINK error.
Upon removing the back plate I found spider webs, dead spiders, and an amazing amount of dust. I did my best to clean the surface of the boards with a portable vacuum...

Panasonic Plasma repair - TH-P60GT50 - Dead, 3 blink code
            by rmacintosh
I aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.

The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:
            • Plug AC in to back of TV
            • After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
            • The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
            • If the TV is unplugged and then
