I installed the boards and upon turning the set on got the 10. I don't know if the boards fixed the 7 or are the cause of the 10.

Yes I read that thread and others. In that post the author mentions unplugging "A6 and A7 boards" to try and locate the problem. Are those the buffer boards ?

Roger on the small cap on the 301. Seen the vid cooling that to confirm it's the cause. I'd just buy a refurbed board though.

Done that. Youtube vids too. Repairs kits or repair services on ebay.

But I was chasing a 7 blink, which is now a 10. I have no problem buying the board shopJimmy has one. I'd just like to confirm it's the issue.

Howdy. Started getting a 7 blink code a few months ago. Unplugging the set reset whatever the issue was. The set turning back on was a crapshoot, sometimes yes, sometimes no.

After a little research I bought a SC (TNPA4657) and buffer boards set on ebay and installed them. Now I have a 10 blink code.

Unplugging the set, disconnecting the SC white ribbon, then plugging the set back in results in 2 clicks a pause then the third. This seems to reset it again because reattaching the the SC ribbon and plugging the set back in, it starts up and runs until shut off. Then...
