Ok sorry you never replied so I ass-umed (me ass lol) that it was the same Tv. This looks like the panel tab bond issue to me personally.

Does the t-con have one or two ribbons going to the screen? What happens when one is unhooked?

Re: Samsung UE46C8700 all vertical coloured lines

@ReeceyBurger123 No problem. I should have closed the other topic the right way
@johns1mj Yes it has to 2 ribbons going to the screen.
I've have attached pictures on this message for the result.
When I disconnect one ribbon there is a residual image left which fades in about a minute. After that it is black. Same as on the other side.

Today I've updated the firmware and now it starts. At first I get an image with horizontal stripes and after some time vertical also arrive. But now a new problem has arrived. Sometimes residual images stay on screen. Not long and now always but it is there. I've attached a motor race image as example.

            1) When talking about a panel bond, should the vertical line not be from top to bottom. On my screen its about 14/15th of the screen and about an inch from the bottom it stops
            2) Could this be something else than an panel/tcon. Could this be more a mainboard

If you have an oscilloscope you can look at the lvds signal coming from the main board with a video feed, although this does look like a bad panel

Thin stable coloured vertical lines on Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC come and go
                by polaro
                Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...

                Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA vertical bars/horizontal lines
                by x_orange90_x
I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 - Pink vertical lines due to chipped LCD panel?
                by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...
