  • Re: bn44-00214a no 12 and 24 voltages

Just to conclude my topic. Thanks to r_J. This weekend I finally got the tv repaired. I changed cb806 but no joy. But I had the ICP801S for just in case. And that was it. It's now up and running.

    Thank you all

Maincap is 310 volts. I am going to double check it tomorrow
its 310volts in standby AND 310 when pin 1 and 3 on cnm802 are connected...

  • Re: bn44-00214a no 12 and 24 voltages

    Hi
    Just checked them
not connected pin 1 and pin 3 of cnm802
    cb802 -> 10.7
    cb806 -> 26.6 v
    cp811 - > 0

    connected
    cb802 > jumping from 12-14
    cb806 > jumping form 0.6 to 1
cp811 > not really any voltage

  • bn44-00214a no 12 and 24 voltages

At this moment Im trying to fix this power supply.
    Problem is
When I power on the tv the tv the red light appears. It sometimes responses to the remote, sometimes a couple of blinks but thats al

The power supply is a bn44-00213a from which I downloaded the schematics
When searching on this forum I checked a couple of thing.
    * I checked all the soldering joints and some of them I touched up a bit
    * I did the blowdryer test to check of the capacitors might be the problem. But I didn't expect them to be bad anyways. But that all didnt help

  • Re: ps42b430 doesn't turn on

When heating the top left quadrant of the mainboard, the machine turns on and displays a picture. So its the mainboard. I could try a reflow of the board but that's only a temp fix.

    Thanks for all the help...

  • Re: ps42b430 doesn't turn on

I just did some tests. And i think its the mainboard but im not sure

I noticed that when i heated the powersupply it came on. It showed the menu of the tv.
After a couple of seconds it would turn off but alll voltage would be there Vs Va en alle the 5v. My first reaction. Bad caps. So i replaced all but the three largest.

Same problem. I saw that if you connect ps_on with ground and bridge the header pins 3 and 4 on the header on the logic board it goes in test modus. When powering up it switches between colours. ...

  • ps42b430 doesn't turn on

    I have a ps42b430 which doesn't turn on
    powerboard is a bn44-00273b

The only voltage I get on the mainboard is a nice 5.3 volt on standby.
That gives me a very nice red light on the from but thats it

I got the schematic from tanya but those are only 90% accurate

Are there any options I can try

Disconnecting x and y-sus doesn't seem relevant at this moment but I've tried

  • LG - 42lf5000 weird image

A friend of mine just sent me this picture of his tv.
    It a 42lf5000 from LG

I havent seen it yet, since hes going to take it to me this weekend.
But by the looks of it, it doens't look like a panel problem.

I think it should be something like a tcon problem. Since these things could have something like the dreaded as15/as19 chip, could this be a case of malfunction chip ?
    Added
I saw it had the intersil i7868a chip. Can anybody confirm it is interchangable with an as19...

  • Re: Dead 42pfl3605/h12 but some voltages

    Indeed you are right.
But i just connected an 1k resistor from +5v to S/B. Except for the +5v and the S/B no voltages on the other pins....

I think I got the right one - See attachment

Tomorrow I'll try to get a 1k resistor and test it again...

  • Re: Dead 42pfl3605/h12 but some voltages

On both +5v I get 5.32V so that looks okay. On the SB nothing

I tried to trace back the voltage. I assume the SB gets the voltage from the 5v rail so on the back I trace the 5v line. It goes through IC904 (EL817 opto) and then R944 (2.2kOhm resistor). On the drain of q909 (rk7002 transistor) there is still 5v (sometimes somewhat lower) But it ends there. There is no voltage on gate or source.
Shouldn't there be any voltage on gate and source? I could be a bad diode but I have my doubts,; but I could be...

  • Re: Dead 42pfl3605/h12 but some voltages

I've taken the board out of the tv. So it's disconnected from the tv itself
After that applied power to it. Got 5 volt on the +5v rail. Disconnected it. Jumped a wire from +5v to S/B and applied power it. Got 5v on the +5v (ofcourse) and 5v on S/B but nothing on the 12v and the 24 volt.

Powerboard is a Z15G3812-P02-H20-003D but the connector CN903 is still the same as yours...

  • Dead 42pfl3605/h12 but some voltages

i got here a 42pfl3605/h12 which is not quite dead
When plugged in to power the blue led on de power board comes on then dims en blinks until off

I measured the different voltages on the connector to the mainbord and only measured a good 12v
the 5v rails measured 3 volts , the s/b voltage 1 volt and the 24v measured 21 volts.

When the powerboard is disconnected from the mainboard, i only get an steady 5 volts. No other voltages.

How can i further determine what the problem could be. I can only find two faults with the pfl3605 type tv...

  • Re: Samsung UE46C8700 all vertical coloured lines

@ReeceyBurger123 No problem. I should have closed the other topic the right way
@johns1mj Yes it has to 2 ribbons going to the screen.
I've have attached pictures on this message for the result.
When I disconnect one ribbon there is a residual image left which fades in about a minute. After that it is black. Same as on the other side.

Today I've updated the firmware and now it starts. At first I get an image with horizontal stripes and after some time vertical also arrive. But now a new problem...

    Noob alert !!
Got a UE46C8700 tot try to repair.
But I don't know of this is repairable at all

Got all colours of vertical lines on the screen. Sound is okay
Could this be a bad panel or is this more of a tcon problem...

  • Re: ue46c7700 white haze and vertical lines

    Thanks for the quick reply

Ofcourse i did some research. But the thing that made me doubt was the white haze on the left. I know the dark stripes could be a bonding fault, but how does that relate to the white haze on the left part.

Could both problems be related to a bonding fault?...

  • ue46c7700 white haze and vertical lines

    Hi
I have a samsung ue46c7700 with a white haze on the left side en dark vertical lines right of the middle

Before Im going to repair it, I just want to get some hints.
Is this a panel fault or tcon. It also could be a dirty of broken lvds but I'm not so sure about the last
My first impression is tcon because of the white haze but I'm not so sure

    With regards
    Anna...
