@TheTesterMan.. Following your advice I tested the M ports with my meter on Diode Check, One lead on the M port and the other on GRD, ( chassis screw ) I started with M3, as soon as I placed the leads, THE PICTURE CAME ON, all LEDs strips seem to be working.. as I lift the the leads the picture goes off (LEDs off) So I continued with all the M- and every time I touch the M- the picture comes back.. so I'm guessing this is a grounding issue?

@can.. I should have mentioned that the diode check needed to be done with the power off.. But it seems you are on to something. If you saw all the LEDs light up, then clearly the issue is in the PSU. How & why it is not pulling a proper ground I do not know, I simply do not have enough experience for that type of troubleshooting. If U cannot troubleshoot down to component level, then you may want to simply replace the Power Board

OK, here is an update! I could not troubleshoot the board completely. I checked every Cap (they all hold charge, and are the right capacitance) All diodes work, everything else seems fine.
I went ahead and replaced the Power board for a new one!

The new board seems to have the same problem... however M1 now exhibits 300+ volts which is good compared to the max 245 V before.

Something else I noticed: there is a test point for 8V on stand by and 13 when the tv is on. This test point always stays at 12.88V regardless if the TV is on standby or on. Is this normal?

With a new board, and all LEDs working. Im out of options.

I do not have the TV handy at this moment to verify but if you look at my initial post you can see the pictures and corresponding voltages under Measurements.

Yes, CM863 CNM803 PS_ON should toggle 8 to 13V in response to remote. This voltage comes from the MAIN board and are used to control the Power Board. You need to now start checking all the power regulators on the Main Board, my guess is that one of your Main Board voltages is out.

Its been a while, but I finally went back to this TV and replaced both the M4 ( A and B side ) LED strips and the TV now works great.

Hopefully someone will find this post helpful.

Did you disconnect the main cable from the power supply? Baclights should stay on.

disconnect one of the ribbon cables that goes between the t-con and the panel driver board.
apply power and see if you get half a pic.
                    disconnect power.
reinstall the ribbon cable, and then remove the opposing ribbon cable.
                    apply power.
check if the other half of the screen gives you a picture.

photo of the back of the tv with the rear cover off would be a great way to start too.

                          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                          Assuming...

                          by TR103
                          Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                          - sound and backlight, but no picture
                          - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                          - it keeps rebooting
                          - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                          - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
                          by Ierwin
                          Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                          by mrtek
Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...
