    Power Board FSP212-3F01 Problem

I picked up a Hannspree tv with this power board, i have replaced Q9 Q7 Q11 ZD4 and R65, i have got a replacement for Q4 but its reading ok.

I have no standby or anything at all on the secondry side and i'm getting -120/-150 on the primary side heatsinks.

    Pin 4 on IC4 should be about 14v but i'm getting -120

The bridge rectifier is reading fine.

You are using the wrong GND for your meter, when making the DCV measurement in the Primary Main side circuit, you have to use the negative leg of the MAIN filter cap as the GND ref. for your meter, not the chassis GND.
Good clear pictures of the board?

unless you change a part that has the white glue, leave it. You can easily measure if the glue is conductive by putting your DMM in Ohm mode and stick your probes into the glue.

So how bad are those parts you changed were tested out to be? P/N of those parts?
Q9 Q7 Q11 ZD4 and R65 Where are they located at? They are SMD on the bottom side of the board?
I also see one cap in the top left with bulging top so you probably has more than one bad cap on the board, especially the small lytics caps in the primary side.

The main blue cap is going up and down from 346v to 350v, and i'm getting 4v to 7v on pin 1 of IC1

                Q9 Q11 - BC858

                ZD4 - BCX55C4V7 4.7V

So did you replace that cap with bulging top and check the ESR of other caps.

I dont have a ESR meter but all of the caps on the secondary side were bloated so i changed what i could, there is still 2 that are bloated, the replacements should be here tomorow

                      Re: Power Board FSP212-3F01 Problem

Still waiting for the caps, i managed to get standby 5v. no sign of 12v, 24v.
Now that standby is there, when i press the power button i'm getting a pulsing clicking noise, not as loud as a relay, coming from near the bridge rectifier when the standby light goes from red to green, i have also ordered a esr meter and a load of low esr caps.

I dont think that schematic i posted is for this revision as some of the values are slightly different.

This youtube channel has been a great help for me, i would not even consider myself a novice..... yet

                      https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2D...11URZqWBigcVOQ

The reason i did not have any standby voltage is the diode i used was 4.7v and needed to be 15v

Anyone else working this psu "BE CAREFUL" it has half mains voltage going through the heatsinks... trust me i found out the hard way

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                        Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:

                        Initial Issue

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                        by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Issue: No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

                        Long answer:

TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....
