    LG 50PT350 help

    I picked up a LG 50" plasma to work on. When I got it home to see what it was doing it had a burnt 102k 1kv capacitor on the Y-sus board. I replaced it and it's still not running but the Y-sus board has a buzzing noise. Here is a picture of the capacitor I replaced.

      Nevermind. When I checked the power supply board I forgot to plug the main board back in. TV is up and running. 2nd TV repair is in the books.

                  As the maintenance manager for a restaurant chain on occasion I am called on to repair a TV. The latest has stumped me.
                  I have an LG50pt350 with no pic or sound. The power button and remote will cause a relay on the main power board to click three times, then shut down. I replaced the Zsus board and gained sound and a bad picture. The picture is dark and hard to see, almost black and white, but not quite. I am wondering about the Ysus board and two Y drivers. Any opinions or suggestions?

                      Picture of the issue please ? Sounds to me like a failed mainboard.

                          My symptoms weren't like that. As soon as the tv was plugged in that capacitor started to arc. From what I have read power cycling like you describe comes from a bad IC on the main board like Reecey stated.

                              I have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems.                               Running Line Voltage and Integrating LED Pods - Automotive

                              Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

                              I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

                              I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....

                              Oberservation:
                              X1 Carbon 4th Gen runs very slowly. Task manager shows the CPU running at 400 MHz.
                              In rare cases (1 out of 20) it runs at normal speed.
                              It does so when running on battery or only with the charger.
                              When both are connected - charger and battery (50% charged) - the system switches between charger and battery once per second.

                              The laptop does exactly the same thing when running Windows or Linux, so OS level problems can be ruled out.

                              Flashing CleanME and a different BIOS made no difference.

                              Intel's XTU utility...

                              Samsung NP370E4K No backlight running on battery

                              Hi all, need some help. I have a Samsung NP370E4K-KD2BR, which as a 5th Gen Intel CPU that works fine when running with the charger plugged in, but has soon as I remove it and it's running on battery the screen backlight goes off.

                              Tried different battery - no change
                              Tried different screen - no change

                              Removed the plastic film from the screen inverter and looked for pwm signal which as about 3.3v when running with the charger plugged in, when I take it off the voltage drops down to 2.232v, so my best guess is that the EC is not providing the correct voltage....

                              Hey I am having Asus Rog strix g15 g513ih hn0865 and it's having display issues while running on igpu. Works fine when I open any game or whatsapp windows application. The issues are :
                              Black screen, freeze
                              The weird thing is that when as long as the laptop is running on igpu the problem keeps happening. But as soon as I open any game or whatsapp windows application, the laptop works completely fine.
                              When the screen freeze or black screen I used to move the display lid up and down and it usually works like that.
                              So can anyone tell me what would be the possible cause?...
