Samsung PN50A510P3F help
I have a Samsung plasma that powers on with a relay click and powers down. It starts as soon as its plugged in and doesn't stop until I unplug it. I replaced IC101 and C102 on the main board with no change. I can jump PS-ON to GND to keep it from cycling to get voltage readings.
VA, VS, -VSC, VE are all good.
On the harness from the power supply to main board with ps-on jumped I get these voltages:
nc___________ps-on
gnd__________stby- 5.1v
gnd__________gnd
18v- 18.1v____18v- 17.9
gnd__________gnd
5.3v- 5.1v____5.3v- 5.2v

My symptoms weren't like that. As soon as the tv was plugged in that capacitor started to arc. From what I have read power cycling like you describe comes from a bad IC on the main board like Reecey stated.Leave a comment:

LG 50PT350 help
I picked up a LG 50" plasma to work on. When I got it home to see what it was doing it had a burnt 102k 1kv capacitor on the Y-sus board. I replaced it and it's still not running but the Y-sus board has a buzzing noise. Here is a picture of the capacitor I replaced.... -
