    Maybe your soldering ? Or polarity ? Its easy to mess it up lol good work

        Thanks for the help everyone.
        I should have got some solder paste really, one thing to note if you heat the strip from underneath it is easier to work and causes less stress on the LEDs and i would not try
        this without a rework heat gun.
