Well little update, replaced D7950 and R7900 and the TV is back to life. After replacing R7900 pin 5 jumped up to around 15-16V.

Sorry to necro an old post, but felt it might be better to keep relevant info in the same spot.

Ran into the same issue with my TV over the weekend. Zero power, lights, nothing on standby, etc.

D7950 tested as bad, so I have ordered a replacement for that.

Decided to check the other things recommended here, but am stumped on how to tell if IC7903 is bad. Still pretty new to this.

Like egoh I get high voltage (165.3v) on pins 8 and 7, but my pin 5 gets 9.6v. Pins 1 and 2 are .2mv and pin 4 is 10.2mv.

On R7900 I am getting 2.7-3ohm when powered off, and higher when on. The resistor also has continuity.

R7900 seems to be 2R2Ω .5w If it is open I suspect that IC7903 is defective.
I see caps similar to where C7818 is located as 470pf 2kv

Do you know the part number to the resistor R7900 or if some one knows the part #..?? Thanks.

Can I see good clear picture of this cap and its location?

IC7903 is the STBY SMPS IC which drives the power transformer T7901, D7950 is the rectifier diode on the Cold side.
You should run the power supply board by itself to see if you do have STBY Voltage or not.
HI, new to site. I am basic electronics skill. I heard a pop in the back of my sharp lc-60le650u tv last night. indicator light flashes 2 long 2 short which I think means 13V line on power supply bd and I have no picture. took off back of tv looking for bad cap or something obvious but everything "looks" ok. any ideas where to look or what to check.

Sorry for the delay, I just saw your message. The diode is an SB2100, Digikey Part Number 1655-1516-1-ND. I have 9 extra and would be happy to mail you a few for free.

What was the specs on the D7950 diode? Mine blew and the text on it is unreadable.

Sorry, I got busy with car and house repairs. I ended up replacing the board and haven't circled back to diagnose the original failed board.
