I don't see anything for LG in there, although I only skimmed it.

Anyway,

To run test patterns on your model, firstly Disconnect the LVDS cable (the one with the black tape)

Next connect the 2 holes marked Ext_Auto_gen with a bit of wire, paperclip etc.

Plug in the tv and turn it on.

It's not specific to a model but on how to do the test on a control board. Which leads to remove, pins to jump.

Right. The two tests posted in link 18 are for Samsung and Panasonic tv's. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see how they apply to my LG.

Screen comes in and runs test pattern. Whole screen, red, then blue, then green, then alternating black and white in different patterns. Looks normal to me (though, admittedly, I don't know what "normal" looks like).

I'm assuming this to mean the YSUS and Control board are good? And now likely problem is with main control board and/or zsus?

Yes, you have a faulty main board.

Possibly needs the BGA reballed or reflowed.

I have the exact same set and ran the test with the exact same results. Was the mainboard the final solution? Ciper108 never said if he fixed his plasma tv. I have run some of the voltage checks that passed - but not all the voltage checks. So am I to assume the screen test is final proof positive it is a mainboard?

Ahh more Lg shit mains failing, got to be the bga solder again utter rubbish. Lg are the worst Tv's IMO.
