kdl-60ex645 mainboard change to KDl-50ex645 update problem

I have KDL60EX645 THE ORIGINAL MAINBOARD WAS DAMAGE AND SAW THIS KDL-50EX645 MAIN FOR CHEAP AND IT REVEAL THAT IT'S COMPATIBLE WITH THE ORIGINAL ONE. IT STATED IT NEEDS UPGRADE...I ALREADY DID TRY TO UPDATE BUT IT'S THE SAME UPDATE I DOWN LOADED FROM SONY SUPPORT AND THERE'S NO OTHER UPDATE...what can I do...do I get to service mode ?????and yes I got picture with the kdl50ex645 but its not on normal view it's like pixel..

Swap the eeproms..

This is the original board...took the metal off to see were is the eeprom...

yours original are 60 and the new are 50 just go inside service menu and change panel size, panel serial no, . as well the Model name... you will be fine.

Yes from 60ex645 to 50ex645....how do I get to service mode....do I need original remote....

i am not sure if this work on yours model too, try this

put the TV in stand by mode, then with remote Press “i+ (info)”, “5”, “Volume +” then “TV power” on, You can see Service Mode on display

to active rewrite date mute, 0

to navigate 1,2,3,4

change value 1 increase 4 decrease

be cafull . suggest you take photo first on each page you try to change to go back as default if need later.

Well it worked with the display, 5, volume up and power on. I just went down on the menu and change from 50 to 60.....and I notice the change it now have nice picture..is it normal the red and green ligth are on at the same time while the tv is running normal....

on his photo the stand by LED ON. the timer one / sleep on the left side.

it may one caused this that his 50 MB need to write the register of the PSU. as 50 one different .

by display, 5, volume down and power on. he can log at self diagnose to read the register ..
or he did change one data Value at time he rolling down to change size.

When I command the tv the green ligth blinks once every time I press any command.....so what do i do

I already try to disable from the menu but no luck....I went settings...eco and idle tv stanby I put it off and nothing happend...

Maybe try a master reset if you can find how to do so.

read this again please. if you was sure didn't change other data value at service menu, then the PSU register at NVM doesn't match. if you don't know how to write it i suggest you leave it as its and enjoy using it.

How you mean the register....when I enter the service menu on the bottom said kdl50ex645 and serial number, but ther were darker and I couldnt move down and on the top of that it had panel size and the original said 50-50_ex645 and I moved to 60_60ex645 I just did that turn off the set and and back on and whala it work...just the red stanby ligth that is there...
