    Re: Westinghouse DWM50F3G1

Caps EC20 and 21 are both 100uf 100v. I found these Q15, IC3, startup/running caps EC2, EC3. and the rectifier, but not sure how to check those with a meter. About the only thing I am good at with a meter is checking voltage and continuity. I did try heating it. EC5 I did have voltage there when I checked before but after I put a little heat in that area I have nothing and also now the voltages on the LED output are all over the place. Anywhere from 25v all the way to almost 200v. It was not doing that before that I noticed anyway , but I was not holding the probe on there very long either. I too notice that I have a hum or buzz coming from 1 of the 2 transformers? between the 2 heatsinks. At blk/on I am getting close to 4v. As far as knowing if they are known good no. I bought these all in bulk and they where all suppose to have cracked panels, but I now know that is not the case because I have got at least 10 working sets.

Well, at this point we know you have problem in the LED power supply section, and the heat seems to have affect on the output Voltage, it is not going to be easy to fix down to the component level without diagram. The circuits can be traced out but takes lots of works and time which I do not have.

I did notice this after pulling the power supply out. On the plastic shield on the bottom it looks as though something got real hot underneath C9F and C8f. I will attach pictures and if anyone has an idea of where to go from here please let me know. Thanks

Have you measured them to see if similar resistors have the same value.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Just wanted to reply to this post and see if anyone has any ideas. I have tried 2 different PS and both are putting out 24.6V to each led set. I know the voltage is wrong but any ideas why both would put out the same? Trying to find someone else who has had the same problem with this as it has to be common. Thanks.

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs
                by Pipolups
                Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

                Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

Adjustable dc power supply and tcl led strip
                by benareeno
I wonder if i shorted the whole strip...where to put pos and neg to just light up a single diode...or the entire strip. The strip lit for a second...so maybe i fried it? What say you?

I have an adjustable dc power supply and was trying around 9 volts.

I have a pic of a single diode...where to put pos and neg terminals to light it up?

Pic of middle of strip..is this where i light the entire strip?

And pic of end...or does this light the entire strip?

Where to put pos and neg for single diode..multiple diodes and the entire...

                Replacing LEDs on LED strip
                by fharris1977
Does anyone know of a ptc heater that does not burn the LED strip when replacing single LEDs? I'm trying to refurb LED strips and I want my strips to stay as white as possible. On the youtube videos their ptc heaters don't burn the strip at all hardly. Any help or methods would be greatly appreciated.
