Page 36, see if you can make sense of that.

Also hook everything back up then try this.

To force the TV to display a white screen:
      1. Unplug the TV.
      2. With P6 and P7 disconnected, disconnect D5 from the from the D/A board.
      3. Plug in the TV.
      4. Now the TV turns on by itself with a white screen

      see what happens

                interesting, plus I can't find a manual.

On the P board near the bottom right, there's a shadow marked P34 and then there are 2 links W81 & W84. Join those links and retry that white screen procedure.

running out of brain power. connect p6, p7, have D3 D5 disconnected, hoping for it to give white screen.

could be the power lead(brown wires?)

If not then remove that link, put it all back together, disconnect that small tuner board above the A board and turn it on.

If that fails then I think go back to that p36 where it talks about checking the F15v and 15V.

The F15V is the standby 15V which is generated first and then when the set fires up the P15v should get switched on.

was the P board one of the many boards replaced?

I'll wait until you try D3 and then disconnecting the tuner module.

After that I'm too tired to think but someone in the UK might be around to give it a shot.

It should be possible to isolate the A board and get this to fire up, that has me curious

I can't see that D board close enough for D3, no manual means I'm blind and trying to use other manuals which may not match up.

On that Power supply, can you check fuse PR101 and see if open cct

Check Q301 & Q302 ( they'll be FETs on one of the heatsinks) for short cct

cable with brown wires is D25. Couldnt find D3 on that board. But disconnected
it and tried, no white. all wires put back on and tested without the tuner card, still same issues. When it makes a click after pwer on, the green lights on SS and SC fades soon away. The power board is also changed. Probably old boards work also. I can try and have tried different combination of P-board,A-board and D board.so far no luck.

Well , I don't know if this will prove anything at this point but try this.

                                    disconnect sc2, Sc20, ss11, p35, the 2 white ribbons that go from the D-board to the c-buffers.

turn on and see if it 10 blinks, don't reconnect p35 sc2 or ss11 until there's no residual voltage present on those for risk of damaging a board or panel.

still 10 blinks. Does it indicate more like A-board, which might have defective already before mounted? Or two board at once. If only SS board would be broken then white screen should appear to the screen, isnt it? Ok, talk futher another day. Good night and much appreciation

Might be time to confirm the voltages F15v and 15V. Could mean one of the boards received is also faulty.

With just the P,D and A connected it's one of those I feel

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                                            Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

Sony RB2G Chassis KDL-55W815B MAIN BOARD 2 Blink Error issue resolved! Happy days :)

For anyone interested just repaired this Sony Main board TV that had a 2 blink error code, the chassis is a RB2G which is common to quite a few different Sony models. The Ceramic 10uF 25V X7R 1206 capacitor C9114 was shorted which took the smd 2A 0603 fuse out F9101. This was powering the Buck converter TPS54332 which caused no 5V output from it.
See the attached picture of the locations of both components. I also attach the best service manual I found for this board for anyone else in a similar position of trying to repair this main board. It's not specific to the TV model however it gives...

                                            Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?

Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
