Samsung UN60F6400AF Solid Blue Line on right Hand Corner of Screen

    Hello guys,

I have attached pictures of the issue. As you can see in the picture you are able to still see the menu over top of the line the line sits in the background. As you can see the menu has some graphical glitches as well. I thought this was a TCON issue since I could see the menu over top the line so I ordered a TCON from shopjimmy put it in and same issue. I have cleaned and re-seated all ribbons with no difference. If I disconnect the ribbon from the TCON on that side of the screen the line is gone, but I also don't get the menu it just stays black on that side. Anyone have any idea? Do you all think I got a faulty TCON from shopjimmy? Pictures are attached.

Could be a tab bond. Try to flex the screen in those corners to see if anything changes.

I will try that, but I was always under the impression that if the menu image overlaps the line the panel is ok am i incorrect about that? please advise.

I'm playing with the set right now. I just updated the firmware no change. Decided to go into the service menu did a device self test. It's odd on the device self test screen it's all white and no blue bar if it was the panel would it not have the blue on that screen as well? I did the test everything says ok except for the TCON it says NG anyone know what that means? I have a screenshot attached. I also uploaded a picture that shows panel hours being 6 hours only this is a new TV do you think it already has bonding issue at 6 hours?

Yeah I suppose I could try the mainboard. Do you agree if it's a bad panel it would have the line on all screens? I also did the panel flex no change in the line

I don't know about mainboard anymore I'm going threw all the tests in the service menu and I test the tcon/FRC and it says NG not ok like all the other tests and I have attached another picture that if you look closely on the TCON test screen the line is gone but lots of little lines appear on the other side of the screen

well after some google research I see that NG stands for no good so the self diag test in the service menu is saying the tcon is no good. So I think shopjimmy sent me a failed tcon according to the self diag test.

Well I ordered a mainboard and the set had the same issue. So I decided to look at the tab bonds and found one ribbon not seated properly on the board that runs along the bottom of the panel the board that sports the tab bonds. So I re-seated the ribbon and it fixed the issue. I attached a picture of the ribbon and of the working set the ribbon that wasn't properly seated is in the middle you could tell the white part of the ribbon is much thicker than the others telling me it wasn't seated all the way

That is sure strange that you get the no bar on that picture, I would expect that bad seating cable will have affect on all modes.
Thanks for the follow-up on the repair.

Good work, I actually had a 39" Celcus with Ves390 Panel using Cmo glass with a similar set up. The screen would go all solarised and weird every so after. After reseating them cables issue solves. Will make video.

If all ribbon cables are already inserted but still showing the same line you have any recommendations?
